I am lying under a blanket. My cat is trying to have sex with the blanket.

I hate when he does this, the sexy biscuits. I’ll now have to abandon this nice blanket to my cat who already has a harem of blanket wives.

It ruins every blanket/dressing gown for me. Does anyone else feel like this and then have the ick over that specific garment? He’s 15 and has been neutered forever, he’s never tired of humping my nice things.

I debated whether to reply to this since I didn’t want to spoil a fun thread, but cat sex is brutal. The males often bite & injure the females, & their penises have spiked barbs that are thought to trigger ovulation through pain. Now imagine a queue of them…

Female cats only want sex when their hormones drive them to it & if they scream it’s not from pleasure.

The rescue I volunteer for currently has a four month old pregnant kitten. She’s not our first & often not all their babies survive.

Add to that the increased risks of breast cancer, feline AIDS etc & the kindest thing anyone can do for a female cat is to spay her.

so Hugh Hefner the sex pest tabby is in trouble this morning for some sexy biscuits on my daughters rabbit shaped foot warmer - at one point he had its ear in his mouth - daughter is outraged- he looks pretty happy with himself and has gone off to lay in the sunshine in post coital bliss 🤣

I had a cat who needed this done occasionally.
She didn't have sex with blankets, though.

@EmpressaurusKitty No, fair enough. I didn't know what I was doing as she was my first cat, & she had kittens when she was 18 months old, after which I had her spayed. She was very fit & healthy, & so were the kittens. (But 4 months old? 😥)

We have an incredible pair of specialist fosterers who look after pregnant cats so she’s in the very best hands. I’m really glad your cat & all her kittens were ok.

My girl was 5 years old & pregnant when rescued - fuck knows how many kittens she’s had. She’s definitely not missing that life though!

Wearing a fluffy panda onesie, lying on the sofa and suffering with flu, my black and white cat subjected me to something that felt like assault. I was too weak to move or push him off. Purring all the time 😐 He's an old man now, but he occasionally makes love to the sofa blanket, if I forget to weigh it down with cushions and remote controls.

My late cat was terrible for this too, he'd drag his shag blanket into your line of vision then stare at you while he was making his sexy biscuits. Or I'd be in bed, and hear a swishing noise as he dragged it up the stairs, so he could go at it in bed.

One morning I woke up to see the shag blanket on top of the man I was seeing at the time!

See thus is my 4th decade of cat ownership and this is my first sexy boy. I totally get the disbelieving posts because this is my first sexy biscuit cat.

I didn’t know this was a thing! My black and white cat is an unsavoury character in many ways but is not a humper. He used to loathe anyone who wasn’t me but when I was pregnant, suddenly went off me in spectacular fashion and would attack me on sight.

As soon as baby was born, back to being his favourite person again. Although he must have got some of his inner rage out while I was pregnant because he was rather taken with the baby and suddenly tolerant of DH, who he had always violently disliked (quite unfairly!)

My "done" cat is in love with my arm. My arm in a dressing gown is top notch. It's a gross way to be woken up.
Maybe he sees me as the current man of the house?

You opened up the relationship by bringing a man into the house. The cat was just showing you that you can have someone if you like but so can he and obviously as the god in the household if he fancies a bit of what you've got he can definitely have it too.

My I’ve had five pet cats over the decades, four of them neutered males. Of these four Toms, two never showed any interest in sexual matters, one used to regularly hump DH’s arm and the current one is an inveterate blanket shagger.

We have a persian boy that will hump fluffy dusters at any and every opportunity more than 5 times daily.
Drags them in his mouth onto the bed and goes at it, all the while staring vacantly into our eyes. Definitely has “the glazed look”

Then sits and cleans his nethers , legs akimbo! No shame.

No humpers but our female also goes to town sucking her own nipples, does dreamy eyed biscuit making on fluffy clothes and likes being spanked! She has a manic half hour before bed and will stand and shout at you until you get off the sofa and chase her round smacking her on the butt. I really hope our neighbours can't hear us 😂

I didn't realise this was a thing as I have mostly had female cats. The couple of male cats I have had never did this!
