Well I'm not using that cat sitter again! It became clear that she's ignored his set rations and mostly free fed him. I know that works for many cats but he's supposed to be on a diet! He's probably going to miss her 😄

I do think he's glad to see us back though. He's currently supervising my bath, which is not something he usually bothers to do.

@EmpressaurusKitty I felt very bad about Stripey, who has indeed been brave and explored the patio. I thought both cats had come in and I wanted to close the doors (we have two side by side). Stripey was behind the barbecue and realised the door was closing and freaked out - she shot to the door I had just closed, didn’t realise in time it wasn’t open any more, and slammed into the glass. Then she remembered there is another door and ran through it, but the trauma of thinking she was going to be locked in the garden sent her back to her safe place behind the piano where she only goes when things are really bad.

She forgave me later though and I had a lovely sofa cuddle with both of them.

And she’s got her sister’s example to follow, @stormsandsunshine! The back door nearly blew shut once when Kitty was outside - she flew in just in time but wasn’t at all happy.

@Esgaroth, I stopped using one pet sitter because despite me being very clear about how the feeding worked, I came back to overflowing bowls & wet food that had to be binned.

TC really is a rather vulgar cat I'm afraid. I'm so glad that my cats have better manners than him. 🤣

@Breadcat24 - just read your thread. Absolutely dreadful behaviour by your neighbours, most impressed by the way you dealt with it. have you considered sending them to Scotland?

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats Thanks -it was a bit stressful until they got it all off and we could see the bricks looked like before. Worst bit was when they just kept saying it will look nicer without making efforts to start getting it off.

No, that's fine, I was just being nosy!!
Neighbours are OK here, but everyone has too many cars for the amount of parking, and works' vans etc, so if there's ever a dispute between neighbours it will probably be to do with parking!

Most of my neighbours are lovely and either have cats or don't mind them visiting. Next door has just been sold and I'm really hoping the new people are also lovely. I've had some nightmare neighbours there as it's been rented out for years by a dickhead landlord, so it's been lovely having it unoccupied!

We have lots of cats around here which is great, it's safe as we're not by a main road.

I have taken a photo of the Linney lookalike who Herbie was just outside with. We call the cat Glamourpuss but don't know its real name!

Finlay is living his best life this spring - leaves home 5ish when the sun comes up and returns anywhere between 10pm and midnight - ravenous - if I’m in bed early it can get a few days before I see him - DS is more of a night owl so updates me and the tracker makes me worry less!
