Sybil is sitting on a record sleeve - which seems appropriate based on the thread title.

Thanks for the new thread!

I wonder if Kitty would like a bit of rabbit. Not that I’m about to go & catch her one.

What an expression she has! What is she contemplating?

Well the nearest Herbie got to culture was sitting near my Schumann on the last thread!
Here he is doing some sunbathing, as yet, without any sun protection on his white ear!

Another thing to add to the 'to do' list, order sun protection for cats!
Thanks for the new thread

I think this is the closest we’ve got to a cultural photo.

I appear to have similar reading taste to Kitty. I feel like that's a good thing as she looks incredibly discerning. Vixen says she'd love to come to Kitty's party, she's not too bothered by catnip but does like Lik-e-Lix or any other soft treats.

Fabulous, Lick-e-Lix are Kitty’s favourites too.

Gizmo is asked for his views on the Russian Easter Overture.

Gizmo asks Suzy for her views on Rimsky-Korsakov's music.

Also which cat food she likes best.

Linney considers hymns in the key of E flat minor.

As an organist I am aware that this key is very unlikely to be chosen by composers of hymns.

What did she say?

Purina Chicken and Rice.

Catnip Lickelix.

Felix AGAIL Ocean Feasts.

Rimsky-Korsakov prepared works by The Five for performance, which brought them into the active classical repertoire (although there is controversy over his editing of the works of Modest Mussorgsky).

Herbie's favourite Rimsky Korsakov piece is Flight of the Bumble Bee, (closely pursued by a cat!)

EmpressaurusKitty · 18/03/2025 19:54

It’s all a bit beyond us, I’m afraid, although Kitty can sing & she knows some Italian. I must play her some Rimsky-Korsakov tomorrow but we’re having evening cuddles now & I don’t want to wake her up.

BTW does anyone know if you can immerse the top half of a blender in water?

Obviously I wouldn't stick the motor under water

I’d guess you can if it’s plastic but I don’t know for certain.

It’s probably online somewhere though.

Kettle is having a supervised cone break which means time for a frantic groom. He considers this a very important part of his culture.

The closest thing Agatha gets to culture is the infection she had last week! She is back to enjoying her webbox, though - packets and snack sticks.

EmpressaurusKitty · 18/03/2025 21:39

Kettle’s a very dapper cat, after all.

That’s good news about Agatha.

When Kitty woke up I played her some Rimsky-Korsakov. She went to get a snack during Flight of the Bumblebee but she came back & purred during the Russian Easter Overture.

We've got to get DD2's cat (Sebastian) to the vet's for 08.45 tomorrow.
He's having a GA to have a lump on his neck removed and some dental work done.

It's 15 miles away so we'll have to get up early. Thankfully, Pa Broon has recovered after his fall on Sunday.
