Toad didn't like his devil outfit for Halloween several years ago. Pigeon is the one with bat wings and Ali is my little pumpkin. Sadly Ali and Pigeon are no longer alive but they were two of the best cats ever.

I love the pumpkin outfit, the orange looks so good on a black cat!
I wouldn't manage to put Herbie in an outfit, that's for sure. It's bad enough getting the bravecto on him.

DD2 has decided that we ought to are going to go swimming every Wednesday.

This means that Pa and I have got to get up at 8am. This seems terribly early.

It seems ludicrous to recall that we got up at ten to seven every day for years, before we retired.

In other news I've just looked of the window to spot a VERY unwise duck. I nipped out to suggest gently that she takes her ducklings elsewhere - hopefully she'll heed the message

@Pixiedust1234 Stripey doesn’t like being left out, so she came over and sat next to her sister and me. But she is too high energy to relax on a lap for very long (but more assertive about seeking out affection with loud purrs and head butts when she is in the mood).

Stripey loves DD1’s mid sleeper bed and so comes for a cuddle with her most evenings - mostly I think the cuddle is an excuse and the real excitement is jumping up onto the bed and then balancing along the rail.

I agree. Stripey would be my ideal cat, Snowcat(?, apologies) would be DDs ideal cat.

Right now The Stray is insistent on being on my bed, snuggling hard against me, multiple times a day which DD would love but is sending me insane. I'm too restless. I have a sneaky plan for when we move house though 😈

@Pixiedust1234 Stripey has a permanent expression of being slightly worried.

(Though she is actually the more mischievous one).

Herbie has decided that DS's bed is his preferred sleeping spot at the moment. He also likes to keep DS company when he's watching some Netflix film sat on his bed.
DS does get concerned about all his precious cables and wires which Herbie does have a bit of a liking for, so he worries about leaving Herbie unattended in his room!

Kitty has just started sleeping on my feet at night instead of attacking them.

I thought @Esgaroth would be best placed to advise on that thread, having vanquished Kettle’s enemy. Although of course I thought of suggesting Scotland.

Well I've squirted the Pale One with water twice and spoken to him rather harshly and I think he may have got the message... but then again I think it's a bit soon to say for definite.

We are still away so I have no cat news to share, but I've been enjoying looking at your cats ☺️ Just dogs here where we are!

Kettle seems fine from what I hear from the cat sitter and we are going home tomorrow so I am excited to see him again.

I think the main reason (after being main feeder) is that my bedroom is the first door they see at the top of the stairs, all the rest are round the corner. All three strays that have slept here have liked having the escape route close by. The other two strays used to investigate only that one. In the new house I have decided to allocate DDs bedroom nearest the stairs.

Stripey has the same look as The Stray. I might need to resort to kidnappery especially since my soulcat was a little tabby.

It's all excitement here this afternoon with a car chase being brought to a halt with a bang by the police on the main road followed by a chase on foot past my house. Boris is unimpressed with all the noise and sirens and has retreated to the top of the drawers where he can keep an eye on the situation outside.

I didn't make it to the gym on Monday....

All these excuses for not going to the gym! (Says someone who hasn't been since Covid!)

He was all snuggly and purry and cute, what was I supposed to do! 🙀 I actually stayed there for two hours, desperate for a wee and more coffee 🤣
