I spent ages last night trying to think of this thread title.

🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for the welcome. Boris is feeling much better and is back to annoying Matilda by pouncing on her at unexpected moments.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 27/10/2024 18:51

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats - Sybil is pastel black so she is also celebrated today like every other day of the year 🥰

TheShellBeach · 27/10/2024 19:47

Linney is white but is currently sporting a load of black and grey splodges.

He keeps sitting in our neighbour's outside wheelchair house, and getting covered in dust.

Here he is, carefully washing one of the parts of his fur which is still white.

Another welcome to @HumanToCatBeasties, Boris, and Matilda.
Basil sends his sympathy to Boris and I send mine to your bank account 😁.
Is Boris the black cat?

Pudmyboy · 27/10/2024 20:03

Welcome @HumanToCatBeasties and your bookended gorgeous moggies😻

Cats gonna cat!🤣🤣🤣

RumNotRun · 27/10/2024 20:19

Hi Boris and Matilda. I hope you're feeling better Boris.

Toad was trying to do his own version of the "Tell Cersei" meme.

My sister had a white rescue cat some years ago. He was named Dusty - it was a VERY appropriate name 🤣.

Welcome Boris and Matilda! I know a cat called Matilda. She likes to catch and eat moles Hmm

That photo of Toad is INCREDIBLY sinister.

You haven't seen Penelope's pic from a recent vet visit on Magnificent Moustaches thread: that is scary!
(Edited to say:Page 22)

The photo of Pen is definitely out of a ghost film. It's lovely that she has a friend that she likes. Pad was gorgeous but too much for Lady Penelope.

I was trying to get Toad to cuddle by putting the heated blanket on but he stayed still enough for the photo then ran off, far too cool to cuddle.

Happy national black cat day to all.
Here is a spot the cat (void) pic.

Happy Black Cat day to you all. Loving those photos! 😍

Except perhaps not loving scary toad's photo 👻

HumanToCatBeasties · 28/10/2024 08:47

Thank you to everyone for welcoming Boris and Matilda to the thread. Boris seems to have made a full recovery, although I now own about 5 different types of urinary cat food that he is turning his nose up at and there is some salmon flavour arriving today. I can confirm that Boris is the black one. They are brother and sister, although they look completely different.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/10/2024 10:16

Guess who finished Mrs G's porridge this morning?

I have told her to wash her face - she ignored me.

Hello @KittenKins what's your cat's name?

OP posts:
Esgaroth · 28/10/2024 13:02

Greetings to all the beautiful mini black panthers (and equally beautiful cats of other colours).

We're back from the vet with a course of antibiotics, more pain meds and instructions to clean with something called chlorhexidine and apply honey ointment twice a day. The sutures predictably were not removed.

Poor Kettle probably has an infection under the skin which is producing fluid that needed a way out, which caused the new wound to open up. That's the working theory anyway.

Fingers crossed we will start to see some improvements. We're supposed to give it 4 days and then they will judge whether something else needs to be done.

TheShellBeach · 28/10/2024 13:21

Oh Lord @Esgaroth I was hoping for better news for poor Kettle.

Has he still got to wear the cone?

(Chlorhexidine is just an antiseptic BTW)

OP posts:
Esgaroth · 28/10/2024 13:24

Oh yes, mega cone still very much in place.

Awww. He looks fed up but resigned.

OP posts:
Esgaroth · 28/10/2024 13:34

He's had a cone on now for the majority of the time we've had him Sad. He probably wishes someone else had adopted him and he didn't have to live with these bastards who are constantly making him wear all this stuff and messing around with his leg and now shoving pills down his throat.

Though he's still ridiculously affectionate so maybe he forgives us.

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 28/10/2024 13:59

Once all this is over I bet he forgets it very quickly.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/10/2024 14:03

Fingers crossed it starts to heal properly now. Very pleased he's still being 'ridiculously affectionate' - he obviously isn't too bothered by what you are having to do to him.
That's a lovely photo of him BTW 😻
