Back from the vet. She sang the sad song of her people all the way there 🤣🤣 then was perfectly happy whilst getting checked in. Left her getting little if cuddles with the vet nurse 💕

I'll hear how it's gone at about 2pm then hopefully collect at about 5pm.

Our Emerald was remarkably good at singing that song when she was on the way to the vet's.

She sang it on repeat, approximately every six seconds, for forty minutes.

Emerald had the loudest and most persistent singing voice of all the cats we've ever had.

You can tell vet prices are daft when I saw £400 and thought that sounded quite reasonable 😲.

I agree she looks absolutely zoned out, plus a bit toothless/gummy but I may be projecting after reading what she went in for - which teeth have been removed?

@Pudmyboy she's had a broken canine removed and one of her lower teeth had an abscess so that's gone too. Hopefully she will stop with the over grooming now.

She wailed all the way home and is now trapped in my daughter's bedroom as she has to be kept quiet and in for 24 hours. She has antibiotics and painkillers and I have to take her back on Tuesday for a check up.

Also has wet food so being fed in daughters room so her sisters don't eat it. Not sure how impressed with it she is tho

Well my plan this morning hasn't worked. Came home just now to Girlcat's bowl licked clean, the kibble bowl looking like it's never been even used, and some wet food left in Tobias's bowl.

Another brand of powder to try tomorrow, plus a different prebiotic kibble that's supposed to be the very best for this. Knowing Tobias, he'll even turn his very pretty little nose up at the kibble - at least he may lose a bit of weight that way!

Oh bless the little toothless one! I hope she feels better soon and at some point in your lives, forgives you, even if by then she has forgotten what she has to forgive you for!😻

Socks is now five and has been gradually coming out of her shell since ddog died in January, although is still bullied by Matt. The last few days she has started to curl up on my chest when I’m sitting on the sofa. And this morning I woke to find her and Matt lying together on my bed. Not cuddling exactly, but Socks was snuggled against Matt’s bum, and against me of course. Nothing to do with the freezing weather, of course (-1 when I went to work and the windscreen iced over).

Wednesday has rejoined her sisters. She's swaying from side to side and dropping off while sitting up 🤣🤣

Gomez has been very clingy sitting on my lap as much as possible. Morty has just been very needy and sitting outside whatever room Wednesday is in.

Little buggers will be scrapping again tomorrow 🤣🤣

Offering up pics of Poppy this morning. She came to miaow and sit in my lap while I was on the toilet, as she wanted me to procure her favourite toy… a hairband. She looooves playing with a hairband.

Poppy is so cute. I love how we all can spend ££££ buying them comfy beds, fancy toys, all the good stuff, but actually they're content with a paper bag, a cardboard box, and a hairband. (Also plastic bags, looking at you Shady and my old cat Pigeon!)

Mr SB and I are puzzled.
One of the cats (we think Gizmo) must have some kind of wound in one of his paws.

There was quite a lot of blood on the top of the duvet cover this morning, which didn't come from me or from Mr SB.

There wasn't any blood anywhere else in the house, though, so it's a mystery.

Gizmo is walking normally and seems quite happy. But there were a lot of paw-shaped bloodstains on the duvet cover.

The reason we think it's from Guillermo is because Linney almost never gets on the bed during the night.

Neither of us is keen on trying to examine Mr. G....................there would be further bloodshed if we did. Anyway, he seems fine.
