@Allergictoironing I know. But it's just a bit boring!!

RumNotRun · 22/09/2024 09:49

That's 3 cats in Number 10 now. Clearly Larry is the boss though, despite the new one's name.

Very sadly I've had to make the decision to rehome Paddington. The situation with Penelope isn't improving. And it's not fair on her. I'm heartbroken, he's a lovely, lovely boy. And he's done nothing wrong.

So sorry Toddler, I have been reading your threads (especially Magnificent Moustaches) and you couldn't have done more: so many times when it looked like progress was being made only to have a setback.....I hope you are able to keep him till he gets a new home, he is a gentleman 😿

Toddlerteaplease · 22/09/2024 13:42

Yes. I don't think there is anything else. Although things improve a little. The improvement isn't consistent. I was going to get to six months. But all the visitors I've had recently, have commented on how scared Pen is around him. And it's just not fair on her. He needs a cat who he can play with. I was hoping my parents would consider it. But they won't.

I so t rule out another girl in future. The evil breeder who had Penelope had another girl that the rescue is trying to get hold of, so I would take her, as long as the rescue site her out first!

TheShellBeach · 22/09/2024 13:48

Your cats lovely @ladymalfoy45 what's her name?

Frederick has a new feather.

Beautiful feather but where is the rest of it? 🤔

I'm so sorry Toddler, I know Pads has snuck into your heart but I think you are doing the right thing for your little girl 💔

RumNotRun · 22/09/2024 15:18

The magpie left it outside for him. Fred is terrified of birds in real life but he does love a feather.

What a gorgeous tabby! What is her name?

My friend has a very placid cat...... until a feather appears then she becomes a wild-eyed demoness and runs off growling with it, yet she has never hunted, thankfully. She does do that 'cat chittering ' when she sees a bird through the window though.

RumNotRun · 22/09/2024 15:37

Fred does attack the feather (then snuggle it) but I don't think I've ever heard him growl. He's such a sweet boy. He did start to go outside the other day to stalk some birds but then a pigeon scared him by flapping its wings and he ran back inside mewing 😁

@Pudmyboy Scritten Kitten.
Any hard as nails cats out in this weather or are they all inside blaming us?

Ours have all been outside several times today. They've all got very soggy on and off. I think they blame us for everything.

TheShellBeach · 22/09/2024 16:59

It's been blazing sunshine here today.
Really lovely day.

And Suzy popped in. We haven't seen her for ages. She seems to have acquired a collar.

Linney wasn't sure if he was going to welcome her, though.

For all those of you who love the gremlin, this was him earlier. Yes that is a line of drool.

Lexter! 😂
I am currently being shouted at for refusing to let Socks back out into the rain. She is standing on her back legs tryinbti reach the door handle.
To be fair, she usually shelters under the plastic garden chairs or under one of the shrubs and often emerges completely dry.
I’ve just heard on the news about a cat in America which went missing on a camping trip in the summer, only be be found weeks or months later (sorry, missed that bit), on a street near its home 900 miles away. Extraordinary homing device that some cats have.

RumNotRun · 22/09/2024 20:21

Vixen doesn't have that homing device. She got lost going out the front of my house and ended up staying outside someone else's house nearby. A similar looking house, but not mine. They shooed her off a few times (not cat lovers. Weirdos) but she kept going back. It's like she knew it was a house like this one but just couldn't find her way home. She was only on the street that is at right angles to line, two doors up. Bless her stupid head.

coastergirl · 22/09/2024 20:29

Rum, you do have very special cats don't you? 😂

Benny loves a big feather too, he keeps bringing them in

Soggy cats here too. Daft creatures.
