I've been eyeing up heated blankets on Amazon as the one I bought last year always gets stolen by cats, they like it even when it's not on. I feel a bit guilty when I move them off it so that I can take it upstairs. It's Prime day on 8th though so I'll have to keep annoying them for a bit longer.

More likely that Tobias was in there and Girlcat was making the point that it is HER hammock bed. Earlier this morning, when it was colder, they were lying on completely different parts of their bed rather than snuggling up.

Though wanting the heating on could be why Girlcat kept coming up & begging earlier today when they had plenty of food & water, I wasn't eating, and she rejected scritches. She sits next to me on the floor, then stands up with one foot on the seat of the soda and very gently taps me with the other - very cute, but I really didn't know what she wanted!

I had a disappointing takeaway earlier from Five Guys because the delivery bloke seemed to go and hang out in the park for 10 minutes on his way. However it did come in a paper bag so at least Vixen is happy. Toad also enjoyed licking cheese off the wrapper, he didn't care that it was stone cold.

We had a roast dinner tonight for the first time since Louie arrived. An Amazon driver came to the door just before the gravy was poured, and I returned to this.

He later disgraced himself fully by 1) being found hunched over the carcass cooling on the side, having a feast, and 2) stealing a leftover pig in blanket (I am going to have them for lunch tomorrow) and not even eating all of it, he left half on the kitchen floor.

I should be tutting at Louie's behaviour but I can't (largely because it didn't happen to me), he is showing more of his personality at every post on here and I find it oddly endearing, sorry @Judystilldreamsofhorses !

Imagine not eating the pig in blanket though. They’re the best bit!

Right - Plan C of crushing the Gabapentin into his food probably won't work. Put half a capsule of Zylkene on his breakfast & guzzle guts looked at it then went & sat on the stairs. He's normally head down in the bowl right away, and both Girlcat and dearly departed Boycat used to love it on their food.

Girlcat is now having her best morning not only licking the gravy off his food as well as hers, but with the added seasoning of Zylkene.
