Linney loved his stick for the couple of minutes he had it, but he had such an obvious and immediate allergic reaction to it that I had to prise it away (and he was deeply unimpressed with me for doing so).

Yes, I decided against getting any for Leroy because of how they can come apart - Leroy would probably trash it in seconds.

He did get a totally unnecessary Trixie Spielmaüs instead, which has been a massive hit.

I’ve fallen for Trixie too. Prince isn’t a great one for toys but I suspect we just haven’t found the one that’s better than Havelock’s plumy tail.

I told Linney and he has left home with a bindle over his shoulder.

Matt went to nip me again as clearly he felt breakfast was overdue. Tbf, my bladder was telling me it was time to get up.

My tribe are being assholes as always although they did begrudgingly let me go back to bed after I woke up at 7 needing the toilet. They didn't even force me to feed them first!

DS1 lured me round to lunch yesterday and handed me a bottle of Baileys Light (low calorie Baileys, wtf?!) and a box of Lindt chocolates. So at least one of them didn't forget. I'll be trying those out later today. Well, the booze anyway. The chocolates may get a look in any... minute... now...

The Mothering Sunday response from the Grumpy cats this morning.

I've got a memory foam mattress topper that I don't use but have just had it stored under my mattress. Today I decided I would make the cats a new bed (cause they don't have 5 million other beds they could use). I've covered it with a teddy bear fleece duvet cover. I think it's a hit.

We went out for lunch with DS2 and because Mr SB and I had our outdoor clothes on, Linney took it into his head that we were going to the VET'S.

So he legged it out of the window and we haven't seen him for two hours.

Thrifty did one of her patented stinky poos a few minutes ago. She's usually pretty good but when it's particularly ripe she won't cover it up. I went to fetch a bag and the scoop, but when I came back Izzy had kindly covered the poo up for her. I was fairly amazed, but I dare say this will turn out to be a fairly common thing that cats do, perhaps particularly those who have had kittens? (Allergic says her girl cat used to do this for her brother.)

This thread is full of glamorous cats! Except Velvet who was blessed with being a snow leopard baby and still just runs around screaming and rolling on the floor frantically... I could go on but I think she needs to wait a little bit before joining the extremely glamorous club :)

And as for Finlay in his Jaeger box. Clearly only a box of class and quality is suitable for such an elegant chap. (Looks at Sybil in a cereal box and despairs 🤣)
