Allergic is our thread hero after the Frightful Little Man Triumph, so who among the The Famed Clan That Breeds Warriors has the thinnest elbows or whatever could not be of concern to her legion admirers.

Many thanks for the accolade Lana. They breed women tough in our clan, that's for sure. And stubborn!

Fred was sitting on his new scratcher thing. It's one of those shapes made from corrugated cardboard. They all like sitting on it for some reason.

The police videos were compilations of craziest things found when the police have stopped cars, strangest moments caught on dash cans, that type of thing. I think he liked the flashing lights. Either that or he was taking notes on how to evade the police. I don't have the heart to tell him that he doesn't have the brains for a successful life of crime.

FWK just sent me a picture of Doris. I can't help feeling that cat is evil 🤣.

She is definitely plotting something!

She looks like she's found something she disapproves of on the top of the cupboard.

Doris is gorgeous. Fudgy cheeks! Does she like cuddling, Grumpy? Snuggly paws.

Anniegetyourgun · 05/02/2024 13:09

Dunno about Doris plotting, she looks as though she's already done whatever it was and is watching to see who will find out first.

She looks like she disapproves of everything! (I can relate...)

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/02/2024 16:33

Does she like cuddling? She's not really a lap cat but is happy to be cuddled.
I've also been just been sent a kitten photo of her looking slightly less evil.

FuzzyManul · 05/02/2024 16:36

She isn't evil.

She just wants your soul.

On a platter.

Garnished with catnip.

FuzzyManul · 05/02/2024 16:38

As I'm not on FaceBook, can someone who is please tell me how Shady and Paws are?

Thank you!

(I'm a long-term MN who has been away for a while and changed my username upon my return.)

RumNotRun · 05/02/2024 17:06

@FuzzyManul when I looked yesterday, Shady was still gorgeous and trouble. He has a lovely new cat tree and some new toys so has been busy. Paws hasn't been round for a few days though.

FuzzyManul · 05/02/2024 17:17

Thanks, @RumNotRun !

Anniegetyourgun · 05/02/2024 21:43

OK, let's have a go at this cat tax malarkey. Thrifty and Izzy at your service.

They are adorable 😍 Is Thrifty the black and white one, and Izzy the white and black one under the desk? My old cat Pigeon (RIP) had face markings like Thrifty, I always thought it looked like she'd dipped her face in a bowl of cream.

Allergictoironing · 05/02/2024 21:57

Cuuuttte! Thrifty is very symmetrical, and definitely looks pretty settled for not much more than a day home 😁

And Izzy is tiny for an adult, bless her.

Anniegetyourgun · 05/02/2024 21:59

Yes, Thrifty is the older one who is staring boldly at the camera ("why are you wasting time with that thing instead of stroking me or waving the feathery stick?") and Izzy is a little shy. That said, we did manage to play with said feathery stick until Thrifty took it over. Izzy is now showing off her hunting technique on a small catnip mouse. Both these toys were supplied by Allergic, who knows a thing or two about entertaining cats.

They have had some food, used the tray a couple of times, and found out how to get behind the curtains. They've scratched the scratching post and the scratchy legs of the cat tree, although Thrifty seems to think the recliner is better for this purpose. I shall tell DS when he gets up (he keeps very odd hours) to keep HIS cat in order.

..............I shall tell DS when he gets up (he keeps very odd hours)............

I have much experience of DS's and their odd hours.

Izzy isn't quite as small as she looks in the picture. She was kind of shrinking herself because she wasn't sure she should be quite so close to a human.

Supersimkin2 · 06/02/2024 11:00

They are perfect and ludicrously sweet.

Thrifty is a lovely name for a kitty.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 06/02/2024 12:21

Thrifty and Izzy are lovely. And great names. 👍

Lenny is feeling very relaxed at the moment.

Anniegetyourgun · 06/02/2024 13:36

Fluffeh!

Anniegetyourgun · 06/02/2024 13:39

The rescue named them. I confess to not being keen on the name Thrifty as I thought it's difficult to call (and I keep inadvertently calling her Trusty which was the name of one of her kittens). DS said it was fine and wasn't minded to change it. And now it has the Excellent Cats mark of approval, so that's that.

Well, when we got Linney, his name was Billy. I wasn't keen on that. And Emerald (his sister) was Kitty, which must be the least inventive cat name ever.

I had no hesitation in changing their names. Linney's is after Loch Linnhe, which I thought people would not be able to spell or pronounce.

Mr SB was not consulted

Sybil started life as 'Bluebell', that really had to go.
We were intending to rename Karl and Lenny but never got round to it 🤣
