I can tell it's become colder as I had five of the cats in my bedroom last night. Even Frankenstein, who only gives snuggles during daylight hours, came upstairs and is still curled up on my bed.

He is an odd little thing. In the mornings, he's all purry, tapping my arm with his paw until I give him sufficient love and affection. By about 5pm though he moves to huddle on the stairs, eschewing any warm blankets or soft furnishings (plus heating!) that are on offer in the lounge or my bedroom. Maybe I should have called him Jekyll to reflect his two personalities!

Shell - hmm, call CAB. You can’t take away wardens afaik - for specifics suggest you call the almshouse association. DM ran one till she was 80, they’re full of covenants and rules as is the rest of sheltered housing. The council won’t fork out either if terms are not met.

Do yours do that weird noise when watching the birds? Only a couple of mine do it, Toad chatters at them and then looks at me and meows like he's trying to tell me something about what they're doing. I admit I do talk back to him and we have a little conversation about the silly birds.

Girlcat is underpinning her status as top Cat by bullying poor Tobias a bit lately.

Her latest trick is stopping him from using his igloo. Half the time when I look in their bedroom his igloo (which she isn't interested in for herself) is very dented where somebody has jumped on it; I have found it so squashed down that even a kitten would have had problems crawling in, and it's a very BIG igloo probably big enough for both to share it.

But the ultimate was yesterday morning, where I found it had mysteriously left the bed (usually about a foot in from the edge) and was upside down in the litter tray next to the bed! She's also started pushing him about when they cross paths sometimes.

I doubt it's anything to worry about tbh. They may fight, but never any damage or signs of distress & I think it's playing. They are lying pretty close to each other now when I find them both on my bed, and they will often stop when passing to give each other a very friendly nose touch and an ear lick - mostly Tobias licking Girlcat as obviously his place on earth is to minister to her needs.

But it doesn't stop her from chasing him away from his treats, eating them, then going back for her own 😆
