These kitties are gorgeous and have made morning!

TheShellBeach · 03/07/2023 12:34

I( am having a stressful day.
Emerald has an emergency vet appointment because she's started breathing rapidly.

Things like this always happen when we're about to go on holiday.
I hope she's okay - she's eleven now. All the things I've googled sound ghastly.

Oh no, @TheShellBeach I hope she's ok. Let us know what the vet says.

RumNotRun · 03/07/2023 12:46

Fingers and paws crossed for you and Emerald!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 03/07/2023 12:50

Hope the vet appointment is OK Shell.

Blueuggboots · 03/07/2023 12:55

Had to put the flea stuff in mine this morning....Frank was not impressed. He pissed in his bed whilst staring at my OH. Good job he's cute.

Emerald is very sick. She has been admitted, to have tests and X Rays under anaesthetic.
The vet thinks the most likely diagnosis is a pleural effusion, but it could be loads of things.
Poor little poppet.

We might get her home late this evening.

TheShellBeach, hopefully, it's just an infection. Poor poppet.

Want2beme · 03/07/2023 15:31

It's been commandeered. Spose it was inevitable 🤤

May I present teeny kitten tummy. Yes, you are allowed to touch it.

I would learn to type with one hand so I could give tummy rubs with the other.

RumNotRun · 03/07/2023 18:05

@TheShellBeach sorry to hear that. Hopefully it will be good news after the tests.

Frank is very handsome, it must be something to do with the name (according to my little Frank-enstein)

Papergirl1968 · 03/07/2023 18:30

Thinking of you, @TheShellBeach
Keep us updated x
All very cute kitties on here. I want to bury my face in that fluffy baby tummy!

Supersimkin2 · 03/07/2023 19:38

Fingers and paws crossed 🤞 🐾 for you both Shell.

Tumbo Bingo!! How fluffiserous is that baby belly Long.

TheShellBeach · 03/07/2023 20:49

Emerald has a pleural effusion with chylothorax and probably a cancerous tumour in her chest somewhere. The vet drained 250 ml of fluid from around her lungs and heart
We have brought her home and we'll take it day by day.
Prognosis is very poor.

We have cancelled next week's holiday.
Thank you for all your kind messages.
