Continuing the adventures of all our cats, the well-behaved and the less well-behaved.

I thought I would open some skittles

Paws wasn't even in the house before I opened them and he appeared from nowhere

I hope you gave them both some Dreamies after cruelly getting their hopes up like that!

TheSilveryPussycat · 12/08/2023 20:39

We had to learn the exceptions by rote (writing them out several times). There are subtle spelling rules in place for those.

pointythings · 12/08/2023 20:59

So we've been having some concerns about Lasagna's relationship with Rigatoni... Toni is small, not very strong and poorly coordinated - we're pretty sure he has cerebellar hypoplasia. Las is strong, dominant and constantly wants things his own way and yes, he was bullying poor Toni. Fortunately we've had 4 people in the house pretty much constantly so we've been able to intervene, separate, soothe, supervise and start over.

Then today this happened (see photo) and they ended up napping lying next to each other. I reckon we've cracked it. One Lasagna, fully integrated into the tribe, three weeks in.

Oh! A tail hug 🥰

Papergirl1968 · 13/08/2023 10:58

I'm another one who gets twitchy about spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Lovely photos of sibling love there, @pointythings
And darling Benny asleep on the jigsaw!
I woke up this morning on the edge of the bed as usual with dog sprawled in the middle. Socks was on my pillow and my face was buried in her fur. Matt was discovered fast asleep on the sofa downstairs.

Another pleasant surprise in the settling of Tobias this morning.

DBro & DSiL are coming round, so I fely I had to make SOME effort in clearing up the shredded wallpaper & tuft of tabby fur in the upstairs hall. Tibias stayed on the top of his box by the bedroom door all the time I was vacuuming with a hand vac in the hall, and even when I went past him with vac on to suck up a few errant bits of dry food next to the bowl.

VERY proud of his bravery!

Wow - even cats who know you well will often run off when the scary noisy black thing comes out of the cupboard.

Well done, Tobias!

Lovely, lovely DCats Smile

No actual picture - but picture if you will an old hippy with frizzy grey hair in a brown Indian-print midi bo-ho dress, dancing with no music and a big smile on her face Grin

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything so cute.

So beautiful as are all the cats on here. I have a massive soft spot for Paws and Sybil on here but love cats.

Miss my boys so much but we're on a busy road now and I can't risk it. Feel like there is always something missing.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 15/08/2023 00:35

A recent picture of Sybil enclosed to her admirer 😻

That photo of Benny does indeed reach peak cuteness 🤣

I live on a major "A" road so I adopted Leroy who has FIV and can't go out like normal to protect his health. He goes in the garden (supervised) and yes I'm mental enough to take him on 2 walks a day. Just saying - it's not impossible! I wouldn't restrict a healthy cat to an indoor life, but there are cats out there in rescues who need to be indoors for their health and safety. Have a look. I found Leroy on a website called CatChat 😊

I can't remember who mentioned it, but thanks to one of you, I have just finished reading A Cat Called Birmingham. I loved it and recommend it to anyone who hasn't already read it. Brum (the cat) makes my tribe seem almost intelligent 🤓

Toddlerteaplease · 15/08/2023 09:37

@KMA2023 get a breed that's happy as an indoor cat. Ragdoll or Persian. Mine are quite happy pottering round an enclosed garden. But don't care if they go outside or not. There are breed rescues.

That was I.
There's a sequel which is just as good.
