Continuing the adventures of all our cats, the well-behaved and the less well-behaved.

Do you have a local exorcist? 🙀

DS2 went to throw some clothes into his clothes basket when he discovered this...

Bloody hell, Grumpy.
Is that Sybil?
If so, Linney might be backing out of their proposed date.

Talking of Linney, here he is, waiting patiently for some Dreamies.

Or as DH would say, "sitting bonnie, looking for a sweetie".

I like that picture because you can't see the bit of him at the back where the fur was clipped off.
It's growing now, though.
I think it gave him a new lease of life, having those matts removed.
Or maybe it was the Solensia injection?

He really is quite glorious isn’t he

Supersimkin2 · 10/08/2023 15:32

Brilliant brilliant news Yes. With you all the way.

Supersimkin2 · 10/08/2023 15:32

Earplugs and an extra pillow re Leroy. Afternoon nap helps.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 10/08/2023 15:38

That is indeed the demonic lovely Sybil who had found a fresh Molly's Mouse and therefore retreated to a clothes basket to molest it in peace.

I spoke to her about Linney's concerns. From the look on her face she seemed to suggest that if Linney isn't man enough for her that's his problem 🤣🤣🤣

Just settling down for daily afternoon nap now! Leroy is in with DS - that room is cooler. Probably in both senses of the word when DS is in there 😂

Shell - tell your DH that he's not waiting for a Sweetie as cats don't taste sweet, they're Oomies because cats do umami 😁 He's right about the bonnie bit though.

I spoke in haste, without actually consulting Linney.

I have now shown him the picture of Sybil looking like the devil incarnate and he has packed a small bag, in preparation for leaving on the next bus to your house.

Apparently he "likes a bit of a challenge" and "she looks ace" - so watch out, Grumpy.

We look forward to welcoming Linney. I'll make sure Sybil is out of the washing basket (and been through cold turkey after the catnip.)

Papergirl1968 · 10/08/2023 19:18

Great news, Yes. Really pleased for you and DH.

nettie434 · 10/08/2023 19:31

I think Linney is very bonnie too! And a lovely match for Sybil 💕 I know Supersimkin2 likes to look for signs of TC's devotion to Sybil but Linney looks a better bet to me as he looks more of a gentleman.

I still haven't got round to finding more cat pix, so I will add to the chorus of agreement that there is no way to stop cats snoring.

In place of a pic; this aside about snoring, though sadly no cats involved. In my childhood the family would often stay with my grandmother in Devon. This involved DGM moving from the main bedroom into the spare room for the duration. I would share this room with her - it had twin beds. Unfortunately her face had been slightly affected by Bell's Palsy, the result was that awful sort of snoring that gets louder, and louder, and louder, and then STOPS. That was the worst bit, lying in bed waiting for her to start again. Even worse was if it was on the hour, when, day or night, the grandfather on the landing would sound out the appropriate number of bongs. I must have been tired during the day, but never felt so, because I so loved the place where she lived. Smile

Lovely photo of Shady, he's a handsome boy.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 11/08/2023 09:17

Shady is very handsome.
@TheLongRider as always your new foster looks absolutely gorgeous 😻

Papergirl1968 · 11/08/2023 09:18

Oh so sweet, @TheLongRider
And Shady has the most beautifully coloured eyes.

Toddlerteaplease · 11/08/2023 10:43

Can't get over the size of Shady's nose. Compared to my lot. Who have tiny ones..

When I told the rescue about Magic, they told me they had a possible new inmate for Toddler Towers, incoming at the end of the month. She's absolutely gorgeous. And hopefully she'll be dopey and placid enough not to bully Cheddar.. Shes not actually in the rescue yet, so they don't know her personality. But she was a show cat so probably pretty docile. Im desperate to meet her.

She had an unusual name. And when I got to work there was a patient of the same name. So I'm taking it as a sign.

LostCats · 11/08/2023 11:40

Ooh!! Can’t wait to see her Toddler!

Couldn't help being reminded of this.
Personally I think Shady has a perfectly formed nose 👍
