Continuing the adventures of all our cats, the well-behaved and the less well-behaved.

Shady does indeed have a lovely nose. I love animal noses. Especially cow's. @LostCats I'll post a the photo when I know she's definitely coming. I'm a bit confused about her story, it seems she was a breeder Sad and a show cat, that's been passed to another breeder.
When I showed my sister she said "she's tolerable, I suppose, but not handsome enough to tempt me"
Which I take as a good thing, as she lines to tease cheddar's appearance. 🤣

JoanOgden · 11/08/2023 12:34

LOL - a great use of a Pride and Prejudice quote from your sister there, @Toddlerteaplease

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/08/2023 14:14

Leroy has a fab nose - ever so slightly Romanesque 😁

I too love cow noses @Toddlerteaplease, big waffly snoots 🥰

@Toddlerteaplease , can't wait to see your new addition and fingers crossed she gets on with the divine Cheddar.

This quote was on another thread (from @theraffarian), and I thought of you (and all the other litter tray posters who have lost cats):

"I think the gap they leave is just too big not to be filled."

Toddlerteaplease · 11/08/2023 14:50

@Defiantlynot41 absolutely, and I have the space in my heart and house for another homeless cat. So I should fill it.

coastergirl · 11/08/2023 15:28

Walter's nose is like Leroy's. It has a little bump.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 11/08/2023 17:02

I commend Leroy's nise and offer you Sybil's for comparison.

For nise above, read nose.

Linney, sulking because the dead mouse he brought into the house was not well-received by Mr. & Mrs. ShellBeach.

How rude, you ungrateful philistines.

(What on earth did you post that you needed deleted... twice 😱)

Linney had control of the keyboard for those two posts?

As it happens, one of my cats did actually send an email, years ago.
She walked across the keyboard and sent it by accident.

I posted some stuff with spelling mistakes.
I do not like spelling mistakes, probably because of being autistic.

Same hear, @TheShellBeach Wink

I'm hoping I might see DD's cats this weekend. On the other hand, the weather has finally turned nice.

TheSilveryPussycat · 11/08/2023 19:39

...so they might well be out.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/08/2023 19:49

My tribe! I can't even cope if a text message isn't grammatically correct 😂

I have no problem with a certain amount of text speak, but for the love of all that is feline make sure your punctuation is accurate!!!

RumNotRun · 11/08/2023 21:12

I wonder if there's a link between cats and grammar? I always try to double check my posts, texts etc., although Muphry's Law dictates I will have made errors in this post.

I've always told the children that I won't answer texts unless they're correctly punctuated.

Quite possibly. I get irrationally annoyed when I spot an error in one of my posts and I usually feel the need to correct them. (17:05 today being an example).
I also irritate people at work by correcting grammatical errors in documents or slides under review. 🤣

And a reminder of the difference between a cat and a comma.
A comma is a pause at the end of a clause whereas a cat has claws at the end of its paws.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 11/08/2023 21:48

DS will send a follow up text correcting any errors he's made 😂

My dad has always said he likes texts from me because he can always understand them ☺️

Supersimkin2 · 11/08/2023 23:38

Commas are claw-shaped. No jokes about colons and semicolons please.

I like grammar but I love slang more - that’s the R&D dept of English.

coastergirl · 11/08/2023 23:43

Another one here on the spectrum (currently awaiting diagnosis but long acknowledged by friends and colleagues) and I also hate making spelling mistakes.

Maybe the link with cats is that they can be aloof and socialise on their own terms?

Anyway, Benny has finally calmed down after a major case of the zoomies. Unfortunately, he's decided he'll only sleep on my jigsaw. Whose idea was it to get an orange? 😂🧡

'Twas yours, I believe.
