An excellent but very warm Matt who insists on spending one of the hottest days of the year on my lap...

Unbearable cuteness this morning.

Took Tobias's breakfast up, placed it on the bed next to him then topped up his water. Went back to have a look a moment later & Girlcat had jumped up on the bed next to him (she already had her breakfast downstairs). Nose touching, ear sniffing, chirrup from Girlcat then Tobias sat back to let her have some of his breakfast.

They then came downstairs together while I was making my lunch for work, and he followed her following me from room to room.

So cuteness AND progress in one morning!

That's great news. It sounds like Tobias is letting Girlcat know that she is the dominant feline, too.

Oh she made that VERY clear right at the start! 😆

She's used to that position, as she was always the boss of her late, much lamented brother. Plus I think the girls do tend to be the boss in most feline households.

Ha ha Bonfire - paw prints everywhere! Our two have never not got paint on them when we are decorating.

There's been a lot of shady NO. Paws DOWN. No you have to stay outside. Use the other window. No don't jump on... FFS

Matt is da boss of this house though. Socks meekly lets him eat her food unless I stand guard over her, and the dog - a Staffie for goodness sake - also lets him eat her food 9/10 times and won't walk past him.
We have two doors into our lounge-diner, one from the hall and one from living room, and ddog quickly worked out she can take the other route to avoid him. I tell her to stop being a big pussy...

Well that was doomed to failure 🤣.
We've put off decorating our downstairs hallway for 10 years (it is VERY shabby) because we can't isolate it from the cats.

I'm not doing TOO badly seeing as it's the first time I've ever done anything to a windowsill. The tricky one will be the window paws uses...

I keep trying to add the photos of the idiot sisters in bonnets but it won't let me 🤦‍♀️ will persevere 👍
