Sorry about your DH @YesItsMeIDontCare 💕

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/07/2023 18:58

Very sorry to hear your news Yes. My thoughts are with you and your DH. 💐

LostCats · 18/07/2023 19:18

Yes I am so very sorry. Sending best wishes to you, your DH and Leroy 🖤

TheShellBeach · 18/07/2023 19:27

Oh Yes, I'm so sorry.
Were you expecting this diagnosis?
It's a lot to take in.

Sorry to hear the news, @YesItsMeIDontCare .

TheMentionOfYourName · 18/07/2023 19:39

Mine keep bringing in small frogs, in the middle of the night. 1.30 am I'm on hands and knees under my bed trying to catch them. I've also had two huge dead rats and my youngest one who is still just a kitten, his contribution is earthworms. They are loving these rainy nights.

SomethingSimple · 18/07/2023 20:27

@YesItsMeIDontCare
Sorry. 💐

coastergirl · 18/07/2023 20:59

@YesItsMeIDontCare I'm so sorry to hear your news. Absolutely we are all here for you.

Papergirl1968 · 18/07/2023 21:02

I'm so sorry to hear that, Yes.
Echoing everyone else - we are here for you.

Papergirl1968 · 18/07/2023 21:07

How are you recovering from your injuries, @coastergirl ?

coastergirl · 18/07/2023 21:12

Ah thank you for asking @Papergirl1968. I went back to work yesterday. Possibly unwise, but I hate being off. I'm still sore but so much better thank you.

Papergirl1968 · 18/07/2023 22:07

Glad you're feeling a bit better but make sure you look after yourself and rest when you need to.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 18/07/2023 22:32

Thank you everyone, I really do appreciate it 🥰

I've told Leroy to let his daddy have a lie in tomorrow but we're not holding out much hope 😁 DH has gone in to the spare room so Leroy's breakfast demands are less likely to disturb him, but sometimes the shouting happens on the landing and is enough to wake the dead (except for DS - he sleeps through anything).

TheShellBeach · 19/07/2023 09:14

How are things going with the baby, @Papergirl1968 ?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/07/2023 09:38

Leroy behaved impeccably Lost 😊 DH has literally just got up.

I mean, furry fucker woke me up at 5:52am but was appeased with a cuddle and settled back down to sleep.

Supersimkin2 · 19/07/2023 19:46

Gutted for you Yes. We have your back.

Leroy’s stoic attitude is Churchillian. Has DS come back for the holidays?

Supersimkin2 · 19/07/2023 20:13

Finger lickin’ good.

Haveasnack really does know how to have a snack 😂

DS has been back since mid-June and is now Leroy's favourite human.

Supersimkin2 · 19/07/2023 23:08

I’m beginning to suspect Havers and Leroy are related. They share a blameless self-regard and unshakeable inner confidence, together with an alternative view of morality that cannot be simply environmental in origin.

NDN came back from doc & had to lure H off the centre of the bed with a full meal earlier. She found him asleep clasping his teddy, but she didn’t mention it. Not very macho. She’s just had steroid jabs in the shoulder he slumbers on and has crept in for a pet-free nap.

DS must be so pleased to be back with his no 1 fan. Unlike the rest of us, bet he and Leroy are flat out snoring blissfully in this heat.

As I type Havers and Prince have marched off in tandem to disapprove of a bulldog in the garden.

coastergirl · 19/07/2023 23:40

This little fella needs a name by next week. I'd like something that goes with Walter.

nettie434 · 20/07/2023 02:25

Oh he is lovely, Coastergirl. I looked up the name Walter. It means 'army commander', which I didn't know so something military like lieutenant (as he is junior), shortened to Lou could work. I would call him Mitty (as in Walter Mitty) but maybe he is not a good role model. Matt - a homage to Papergirl1968's Matt - and to Walter Matthau, the actor? Bruce Willis's first name is Walter so Walter and Bruce is another option. Anyway, he looks so lovely that even if you called him Ezekial Love Island, everyone will be smitten!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/07/2023 05:18

What a sweetie. I had a pale ginger boy called Monty years ago, and the names go together because there is a restaurant in London called 'Walter and Monty', so that's my name contribution.
Is he hanging onto his mum's tail in that photo?

LostCats · 20/07/2023 06:25

Mine is a rather niche contribution but what about Murray?
There is a school in DH home town called Walter Murray.
And Murray is a fantastic name too 😆

coastergirl · 20/07/2023 07:58

I love these suggestions, especially Monty. But...I just asked my little boy what we should call him (fully expecting something Mario related) and he said Ben. He doesn't know this, but Ben is the name I had for a baby boy, since I was a kid! I've never used it though because it didn't quite sound right with surnames. So I think we're going with Benny! 💙
