I think Shady's chum looks rather sweet.

Hopefully they'll get over ripping lumps of fur out of each other.

Had a tear-up here last night. Havelock nicked Prince’s first supper - and the second and third. When Prince gently remonstrated Havelock raised a paw to him! Twice!

I booted Havelock out in exasperation. Poor little Prince, who could knock 7 bells out of Haveasnack if he chose, has been the model of generosity and friendship. H is a fluffy burglar.

H is here, staring at the Dreamies Megatub. Slaps my leg when I don’t get the espresso down fast enough.

Do you think me and Prince are being too nice? I’m worried Prince isn’t the flat sharing type. They do get on most of the time.

Linney was fed at 8 am as usual, then stood by the door waiting to be let out.
He is very patient.
If Emerald ever wanted to go out, or be fed, and she discovered DH and me asleep, she would just get on to the bed and walk all over us, miaowing loudly until we got up.

Anyway, Linney went out for an hour, returned to use the litter box, then went out again.

I don't know why he can't do his business outside but be always comes home to do it, digging halfway to the earth's crust in the process.

Territorial.

The floor is lino Shell. It’s nice in that it makes this doll’s house look like a correctly sized residence for human and cat, but white-ish floors are not for idlers like me. The bathroom floor is streaky white marble and that really is worth the 17 mops and swearing dictionary you need cos it so pretty and cool.

Favourite cat used to come in to do his business then go straight back outside again. The rescue place said he's probably insecure and worried about being attacked mid poo. I can't help but laugh at the idea of being pounced on while you're in the middle of going to the toilet, although it made me sad to think of FC being too scared to go to the toilet outside.

Why hast thou forsaken me? - Nyxeris, 12 weeks. Named by DD15 after the Goddesses of Night and Chaos. I’m a first time cat slave (and have never had a pet), DD has a 3YO boy at her Dads. All of my doors are this style and yes, she does this on all of them. The Skynet (Roomba) was on in there and she hates it. It was for her own good.

This is her “Oh, you need desperately need to pee because I napped on you for three hours immediately after you drank a large Starbucks? Very sad, anyway. I’m going to lie here being adorable so the thought of moving remains inconceivable to you.”

Nyxeris is a fantastic name for a cat. And yes she is adorable.

Lexter has decided that he is too important to sleep on the duvet of my bed, so he has taken over my pillow. Weird little beast.

Lexter just wants you to know who's in charge.

With seven of the furry little evils, I have learnt my place. They're all the boss of their own mini kingdoms within the house, I am just permitted to visit.

That reminds me of something I saw on Icanhazcheezburger. There are two cats: one is a dim-looking, fat ginger cat with wisteria on his head. The other - a black and white cat - is sitting behind him.

In the first panel, the speech bubble from the ginger cat is "How is the kingdom today?" The speech bubble from the other cat is "The populace appear to tolerate you, sir".

In the next panel, the ginger cat replies "Marvellous".

😧 just came downstairs to a torn open and destroyed empty (but which had been brand new) bag of salmon dentastix. Eko must have such a sore tummy!

No food stealing in the Grumpy household (other than the usual muggings at breakfast time), but the cats are producing prodigious numbers of hairballs at the moment.

Not that I'm counting 🙀 but we've had 8 or 9 in the last week. Woken up by Lenny yacking one up next to our bed. Stomped downstairs and found another one perfectly placed for barefoot discovery under the kitchen table. 🤮
