Thug cat part 5 - For he will not do destruction, if he is well-fed, neither will he spit without provocation.

Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.
For any one daft enough, here are the last 4000 posts about him

thread2
thread3
thread4
For anyone far too sensible to trawl through the above threads, here are a few of his photographic highlights. And yes, the last one is him on my kitchen table...

I feel stalking is the correct term.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 01/03/2023 16:59

A stripey study for your delight and delectation. I'd just fed him so he was being polite.

I can tell by the starved look on his face that he had definitely NOT been fed, Grumpy.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 01/03/2023 17:39

He’s definitely got thinner!

Supersimkin2 · 01/03/2023 18:16

Lean and fighting fit.

Iamacatslave · 01/03/2023 18:24

He looks like the perfect dinner guest.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 16/03/2023 13:51

I'm not talking to TC today. Wished him a good day, stroked him and got attacked for my pains. When I tried moving away he was actually hanging off my arm...

He's now as smug as you like, sitting on top of the car. Mrs Grumpy is going out shortly, she can move him 🤣

Sybil looks like she is ready for the job of TC removal

That does look quite the injury Grumpy.

AllTheWatersTurnedToClouds · 16/03/2023 14:28

Gosh he's very, erm, bold... isn't he?

Agapornis · 16/03/2023 14:55

It's just a little love bite!

🤨 He has a zest for life, that’s all.

Tea tree oil takes the sting right out of cat bites. I used it on dh all the time when we had Asbo.

Supersimkin2 · 16/03/2023 16:02

Dental check went with flying colours then. Poor Grumpy, you need iron tablets at this rate.

By "move him" do you mean test the 0-60 ability of her car?

Florissant · 16/03/2023 18:15

Have you seen the size of TC's teeth? Grumpy means "donning a suit of armour and carrying a lance" with 999 on speed dial.

Ellmau · 16/03/2023 19:19

I hope your tetanus jabs are up to date :)

nettie434 · 16/03/2023 23:24

That looks really painful Grumpy. I'm not surprised TC drew blood, looking at the photo of him baring his fangs. I am calling them fangs to show my solidarity with you Grumpy. I think TC must be a small sabre toothed tiger that has survived since the Ice Age.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/03/2023 00:09

Many thanks for the sympathy all - it was claw inflicted rather than teeth, but really isn't too sore. I'm obviously inured to cat inflicted violence.
Some very sad news for NDN though. Their sheepdog was PTS today, completely unexpected. He was repeatedly sick last night, taken to the vet today and the vet diagnosed it as cancer, with kidney failure on top. Absolutely lovely natured dog, he'll be missed.

Oh Grumpy, that is sad news :(

Supersimkin2 · 17/03/2023 00:41

💐 for NDN. They must be so shocked and sad. They did entirely the kindest thing, no suffering at all for their boy. What a very beautiful fellow he looks, the picture of content. I bet he had a truly great life.

The other animals will be gutted. I hope they are all suitably subdued. They can be a bit er upfront though after a death - you cab never tell. One trusts TC’s fur does not turn quite gold with grief.

Allergictoironing · 17/03/2023 07:28

What a lovely boy, must have been a shock. Give our sympathies to NDN.

Interesting to see what TC's reaction will be. He may not care, he may pine after one of his minions, he may decide to redouble his efforts to spend time with you and yours.

Florissant · 17/03/2023 07:33

My sympathies to your NDN, Grumpy.

Defiantlynot41 · 17/03/2023 07:49

Flowers to your NDN Grumpy.

nettie434 · 17/03/2023 08:47

Condolences to your NDN, Grumpy. It must have been a real shock.

I enjoyed the Oscar Wilde reference Supersimkin2.

RumNotRun · 17/03/2023 08:51

I just wanted to add my sympathies for your NDN too. I hope TC doesn't grieve too much, perhaps you should take pity on the poor bereaved soul and let him in your house 🙂
