Christopher Smart had clearly never met TC.
Due to popular demand (and a fear of lynching by the denizens of Mumsnet if I failed to comply) please find enclosed the 5th (🙀) thread about my NDN's cat.
For any new arrivals to this thread, TC is a stripy thug who spends most of his waking hours trying to break into our house. He doesn't get on with our cats (with the possible exception of Sybil, but only if she's in the mood). He currently is at war with Lenny.
He occasionally behaves like a perfect gentleman, his more normal MO however is to be a hissing spitting ball of teeth and claws.
For any one daft enough, here are the last 4000 posts about him

If anyone needs flat cat window mesh it’s you. It would give TC some enrichment as he learns how to undo Velcro.

He could be their new product tester, you’d get 10% of future earnings.

I wouldn't want to offend TC but that window looks slightly to small as a TC entry point to me. Isn't there a risk he'd have got stuck?

Having a bbq with NDN.
TC is delighted to see me, makes a change from him hissing at me this morning when he tried to get in via our living room window.

Wow, Grumpy, but was it a ruse to share your food? Doesn't look like you'd be allowed to move any time soon, plus TC takes up all the lap space😀

He was on my lap for about half an hour with no sign of usual TC grumpiness at all. He did become very relaxed.

I have to say, TC looks very relaxed but your posture does not. Indeed you seem a little more 'wary' shall we say. He seems a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde cat - were you not just waiting nervously for the other 'evil' TC to suddenly turn up?

I've read all your threads. I love TC, he's so handsome & looks very like my big tabby boy from years ago, though he was a very friendly fellow loved by all the neighbours. Including next door's young daughters who persistently enticed him inside with cat biscuits, dressed him in bonnets and wheeled him round in a toy baby buggy. I imagine TC would not be up for those shenanigans!

Basil is also gorgeous.

There's a comment to be made about perspective - TC is closer to the camera and looks massive, and ... er .....Nice BBQ was it? Certainly picked the right weather etc etc.

This morning TC is working out just how many scratch marks he can carve into the A-pillar of my car.

Aaaargh! I’ve just really seen the lap pics! Truly splendid primordial pouch modelling from TC.

You look very poised and slim Grumpy, ignore cattiness. Sometimes people can be overwhelmed by jealousy at the very thought of you having a famous cat on your very own knee.
