No - they just get better at gaslighting us.

They do - Ollie was just trying to give a helpful clue to solve Super's puzzle picture.

Honest.

He really does have the most expressive face doesn’t he! I love it. ‘What?’

This was immediately after I said NO

Are you better Slave of Leroy? Hope him and DS enjoyed their love-in. The sweetness, sniff.

Grumpy we both know the college cat will be arriving for Xmas on the student coach, having done sadface and sucked his cheeks in at DS. He might prove a match for TC.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 30/10/2022 14:13

DS has gone back today, Leroy is currently lying dejectedly on his bedroom floor. Only Dreamies will help...

Why yes, yes DH has fallen for it.

Supersimkin2 · 30/10/2022 16:52

DH knows the score re comfort eating. Hope you resting up.

Basil very beautiful this morning.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 31/10/2022 13:07

I'm not sure about the demonic eyes ...

Fluffy - we are all still thinking of you.

squelchynethers · 31/10/2022 13:46

Thank you grumpy Halloween Grin

OUTRAGEOUS🤣
Actually one of his eyes is quite discoloured, the vet isn't worried about it, so neither are we. Shows up on this photo.

Spart - have you just dissed Basil? Enough wine at lunch, was there?

I regret that sometimes we all have a manner a little too informal, Grumpy. Basil’s noble mien cannot be diminished by mere jollity, however.

It’s trick or treat here. I’m hoping no small child bangs on the door cos I’ve got a pack of fingers of Fudge and I wants em all.

PeloFondo · 31/10/2022 17:52

Ollie is staying in with being black and it being Halloween. Not that I'm judging cats by colour, he can identify however he wants as long as he stays inside firmly on the sofa Grin

Neighbours ball of fluff demanded a belly rub. She just stops and flops in front of you

6 out of 7 cats survived Halloween. The foster kittens were completely unfazed. Mouse was very distressed and peed on the floor when the loudest fireworks went off. The heavy rain started about two hours ago and Mouse has perked up since then.

Mouse hates fireworks, the other cats are very gentle around him. Even the kittens went over and gave him a sympathetic sniff.

Allergictoironing · 01/11/2022 07:20

Girlcat went on strike this Halloween and went to bed. Usually she sits in the window pretending to be an ornament, then suddenly turns her head to look at a trick or treater, giving them a shock. I had one actual mini scream last year!

Boycat just goes to bed anyway, he really doesn't approve of me having people at the door.

PeloFondo · 01/11/2022 15:09

He's back on the bed. My fault for buying brushed cotton bedding

Sleeping beauty

Allergictoironing · 02/11/2022 10:06

I'm scared, and feeling guilty. Boycat has been losing weight over the last couple of months, and is starting to feel quite boney on his hips. What with all the work hassles, I've sort of put it on the back burner for the last month or so as he's been eating, drinking, peeing & pooing fine & seems happy in himself. It's very hard to tell with mine because they share everything - same water, won't use the 2nd litter tray so both go in the same one, share food bowls e.g. 2 go down, they both eat from one them both from the other. They are also grazers, so individual intake is near enough impossible to gague

Booked him in to the vets this morning - he has lost 0.7kg since his annual MoT in April, and he was a bit lighter than normal then but they said his condition was fine at the time. He used to be around 6kg, on weighting today he's now around 4.7kg!!! That's a LOT of weight for even a large cat to lose in 18 months since he was 6kg.

They gave him a physical exam & took bloods, which I have to call about the results of later today.

Allergictoironing · 02/11/2022 11:13

Just got a call from the vets - severe kidney impairment, possibly failure. Need to get the detailed results from the bloods being sent off, but not looking good.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/11/2022 11:20

I'm sorry, Allergic. Here's hoping for the best Flowers

PeloFondo · 02/11/2022 11:33

Everything crossed here

Allergictoironing · 02/11/2022 11:36

So far I've fallen apart down the phone to the vet nurse, my best friend (the one with kittens, and Petplan to report that I'll be claiming. Sitting here in floods trying to calm myself enough so I don't upset the cats when I go upstairs to cuddle him.

Vet nurse said we will try to control with feeding, I'm hoping that I can put Girlcat on the same food as don't see there being any other way with their eating habits. But it was the way she said the count was very high, and kept saying failure then correcting herself to severe impairment, that makes me feel it's not going to be good.

This is NOT what I needed with a job interview this afternoon either.
