Appalling miscarriage of justice.

HouseofHolbein · 16/10/2022 20:52

Today we have Paws AND grandpaw

TheLongRider · 17/10/2022 07:48

Did Paws meet Grandpaw?

Supersimkin2 · 17/10/2022 13:25

How is the conversion of Grandpaw going - he looks a promising candidate. Paws is really being helpful.

PeloFondo · 17/10/2022 13:40

TheLongRider · 17/10/2022 07:48

Did Paws meet Grandpaw?

He didn't! He vanished about an hour before

PeloFondo · 17/10/2022 15:25

Ollie has now taken the scab off his back by going under a fence AGAIN
What would you do? It's clean and not sore, I've sprayed it with clinisoothe..figure the vet can't do much

He's determined to avoid flea treatment isn't he?!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 17/10/2022 18:26

I'd pop to the "vee ee tee" with a wound like that tbh Pelo. Sorry.

PeloFondo · 17/10/2022 18:50

I have rung them Angry
They said they're happy if it's clean to leave it and see if it scabs again over the next few days but if it not healing or oozing or painful to bring him in. Luckily he can't lick or scratch it because he can't reach it Grin

It definitely looks worse in the pic, the best way I can describe it is as if you fall and graze your knee? It's very surface like. Have bollocked him also not that he's listening to me

Supersimkin2 · 17/10/2022 19:40

He’s messing abaaaht. It looks like it’s granulating fine.

Run ragged here. Snack, treat, cuddle, throw Sidney the rubber snake, catnip, head tickle, adjust collar, assess threat level from maraudIng locals on request, discipline Sidney (ditto), drink, bin suspiciously clean Bovril jar from pet’s personal box, milk, biscuits.

Back to step 1. Now Havelock mewing for something.

LostCats · 18/10/2022 09:08

Ah Pelo, you have my sympathy. Eko has been working on a sore in the exact same spot on his neck too. Scratched it open and then managed to make another one. It was massive. Vet, money, wipes etc. Healed over and looking good. He then opened again. I despair.

PeloFondo · 18/10/2022 10:55

It definitely looks drier today, although I'm getting a very withering face from him for some reason Confused

It was nice knowing you Grin

I thought you might have gone for the cat version of a babygrow. I know he wouldn't appreciate it, but may be a little bit less distressing than a collar of shame.

Finally, after over 6 years of very hard use, I think the cat tree is on it's last legs. Not just the main body, though that is very wobbly however much I try to tighten it, but the complete destruction of all scratching surfaces. Girlcat has started on the carpet on the base now, as she's removed every bit of rope from the posts and the cover from much of the rest of it. Zooplus here we come!

PeloFondo · 18/10/2022 19:01

I did try wrapping him in a scarf today as a temporary fix while I was working and he just sat there purring like a burrito

nettie434 · 19/10/2022 00:18

Just seen your very sad news Fluffycloudland77. Sending you condolences.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/10/2022 10:48

@Allergictoironing - you can buy sisal rope to replace the knackered stuff on the scratching posts. Might be worth looking at if it's a big expensive bugger you've got.

@PeloFondo - hahahahahahahaha 😂 pleeeeeeease post a picture! You are so dead 🤣 God Ollie is going to look so bloody adorable though 🥰
(I think the word you're looking for right now is a Purrito 😁)

PeloFondo · 19/10/2022 10:52

Paws hissed at Ollie today and doesn't give a shit Hmm

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/10/2022 14:04

He looks like a sunflower 🌻😊

with matricidal thoughts

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/10/2022 14:12

It's almost a medieval court jester look.
Pelo - it's been nice engaging with you on this thread. I'm sorry that will be your last post. 🙀

PeloFondo · 19/10/2022 14:15

Grin I've had to fold it back as he just lay down with it flipped forward

Supersimkin2 · 19/10/2022 14:59

That face.

🤣

LostCats · 19/10/2022 15:40

Ahahaha I love it! I may need to get one for my two. Eko who has the same injury as Ollie and Boone who has licked a shaved part raw.

You’ll need to sleep with one eye open tonight Pelo!!

PeloFondo · 19/10/2022 15:57

The angry ball of sun is resigned to his fate
