So far no tears. I promised him I’d be ok.

I don’t think Puddy has noticed tbh, he was in hospital so much she got used to it just being the two of us.

I mean I cried mon, tues, we’d. I’m not totally heartless. I’m getting photos printed for framing, he can’t stop me putting photos out now.

Im going to have to join Facebook though to ask all the people who were apparently best mates with him to name his favourite beer, whisky and food & his widows name. They’ll fail on all 4 questions. I’ve never heard him mention any of these people but they all want to know when his funeral is 🙄 people are so superficial.

I didn’t think you were heartless, Fluffy … just that you were trying to be stoic. Sometimes this can help and sometimes not. The photos sound a lovely idea and I’m sure Puddy approves too.

Last night I went to dn house where there tabby let me touch him, usually runs if dhs family come round but I’m quiet. I snuck a cheek rub in too.

Ollie is pretending to be Paws. He's also cut his back (dry, not sore) and is blaming paws for that, it's all a big mystery apparently

DH evidently highly popular and much loved. Of course, but you must be overrun with mourners.

A book of condolences is the solution to people who wish to pay their respects to DH but who one ‘might not have time’ to have to cope with in person at a time like this. They can include messages for you too. (Blank photo album does beautifully.)

Cheek rubs are the best. Havelock’s in disgrace. He sauntered up to Prince peacefully eating supper & when Prince didn’t move over, sank his teeth into his tail.

I'm a bad cat owner. Discovered yesterday that Sybil has three or four mats on her back end 🙀. We don't generally stroke her bum, (it seems strangely inappropriate), and they weren"t visible so we've missed them. Managed to remove two so far (VERY carefully) with scissors. Will attack the rest tomorrow when I'm forgiven for the first lot. New regime to follow, brushing her backside. Don't think she'll be impressed...

Capn wouldn’t let me do his - but we got there in the end when he knew it was me and the kitchen scissors v the vet and the electric shaver. Guess who dished out the most Sweetmeats of Repentance.

If you put them out Grumpy the birds take them for their nests. TC will probably sneak one to put in one of the knuckleduster locket rings he wears.

Don't worry too much Grumpy, Leroy had to have some cut out a few weeks ago 🙈 I think of it as brushing his furry bloomers rather than his bum, but I'm still a lot less vigorous about it than other places. I do have proper grooming scissors (round tip) for the purpose though!

Nemo and Kippure sharing a sofa. Nemo has a little fanclub, the kittens run up to him every time he appears.

Nemo was the best find ever. :)
