Jolly good they are too - one of them did the christening for my neice (sniff, it was lovely) and the other one I think is currently disused. All the fam went to the wrong one for the christening, natch.

Some of the filming was done at Staines Parish Church too. Very close to me and somewhere I frequently sung (until the vicar staged a coup against the organist & choir).

I think not! Plucked strings and percussion in church are clearly the work of the devil. A robed choir, organ, and the vast majority of music being from c.1750 or earlier is much more my style. 😁

Churches have multiple internal groups and individuals (PCC, choir, music group, organist, bellringers, flower arrangers, church wardens, sidesmen, readers and intercessors etc.) In many churches these groups exist in a permanent state of dystopian war with each other, as well as with the vicar.
Makes Westminster look like a model of harmony and loveliness. 🤣
Joking apart, I've sung in some lovely friendly churches but I've also been in some utterly toxic ones. Never ceases to amaze me how many vicars have bloody awful interpersonal skills!

I used to be a bellringer at my local church. They disliked everyone else connected with the church 🤣🤣 bunch of very grumpy old men to outsiders but endlessly patient to the teenagers who turned up to learn to ring 💕

I love the ice cream cone (or is it a horn?) on the one hat, but I also love the little gaps for ears on the other two.

I installed Prince’s new electric blanket with fleecy throw yesterday.

We've all been there.

I've been awake since 4am due to Leroy's need for cuddles being a higher priority than my need for sleep. DH is up for work so Leroy is now fast asleep on his spot on the bed and I'm still wide awake 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wanted to hold out till October but caved in last night and put the heating on for an hour or so to take the chill off before bed. Cats were happy!

Prince is one relaxed cat. Love his little name tag. You can see why cats are so confident when we let them do what they like and call them names like Prince.

Puddys molly mouse arrived, big success. She’s crunching her biscuits now after thoroughly licking it and rolling around with it.
