We were out of space so I thought I'd do the honours

I think the cats may have noticed that it's getting colder at night. Mrs Grumpy penned in this morning

Niiiiiiice.

Just so cosy, especially with a cuppa brought to the bedside by her perfect DH.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/09/2022 20:45

Every winter I thought Asbo loved me big time. Till I remembered it was just winter. Puddy has long hair so doesn’t really need me.

Try a silk pillowcase @Supersimkin2, Puddy loves them. She wakes up with frizz free fur that’s easy to manage all day long.

Last night I got into bed after helping dh at 4am or some ungodly hour and she hacked up a fur ball.

Supersimkin2 · 28/09/2022 21:16

FML. Life on a stick Fluffy. She’s thanking you for the pricy mouse, possibly.

Asbo worshipped the ground you walked on and you know it. Prince even won’t let me get both feet in the bed. He bites the outside one when he’s peckish in the night. Hard, cos it’s numb with cold.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 29/09/2022 09:23

Can any of you lovely ladies and gent help me out here...

I have a birthday coming up. It's what people might call a "big" birthday.

What the fuck do I want???????? 🤦🏼‍♀️

£50 worth of Dreamies has been vetoed...

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/09/2022 09:33

Prince would say it’s a love bite.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/09/2022 09:40

Orient Express (if you have a spare £9k or so 😮)

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/09/2022 09:44

It’s £9k plus a special “Orient express” wardrobe including shoes and bags if your a woman though.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 29/09/2022 09:56

Yeah £9K is definitely out 😂

£50 is nearer reality 🤷🏼‍♀️

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/09/2022 10:00

How is your DH, Fluffy?

What are your interests Yes? Aside from feline ones...

I could easily spend that amount on gardening gear, in the kitchen or on a collectable of two or three on eBay...

Supersimkin2 · 29/09/2022 10:01

Study of Leroy by David Hockney.

Matching Name necklace/collar with initials picked out in large emeralds to match L’s eyes.

Louis Vuitton pet carrier (reinforced) (monogrammed)

Aldi z bed for DH use

Siberian duck down 25 tog super king duvet not for DH use

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/09/2022 10:03

£50 is nearer reality.
Bet you could adopt another cat for that much. The gift that never stops taking giving 😽.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 29/09/2022 10:21

Bet you could adopt another cat for that much.

Easily - Leroy cost me £30 😁
Unfortunately I genuinely don't think Leroy is ready to share his Mum yet.

I like seeing the results of DH's gardening, but I'm more of a container gardener. Not sure the patio can handle any more pots though. I love craft but I've got everything I use. I don't wear jewellery. I have a study of Leroy by mum. I like cooking but I think anything for the kitchen would just be for the sake of it...

Jeez this is difficult 😣

Defiantlynot41 · 29/09/2022 10:29

The lunch trip on the Orient Express is lovely if you don't want to go the whole hog

One of my best pressies was a case of half-bottles of champagne, means you can have a glass of champagne at any time during your "big" year without it having to be a celebration (or having to drink a whole bottle, my DH doesn't like champagne)

Otherwise the usual - mainly consumables, don't really want more "stuff" - the exception being a (better quality/more luxurious) version of something I already have and use lots - I try very hard to operate a one in one out policy

I also got this and it was barely off my neck all winter, very cosy I found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think? https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-cashmere-snood/light-blue/p5685618?tmad=c&tmcampid=7&sshare=jlappioss_Y29tLmFwcGxlLlVJS2l0LmFjdGl2aXR5LkNvcHlUb1Bhc3RlYm9hcmQ=

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/09/2022 10:31

Looks like another cat is the only way to go, then!

I've been looking up things I remember from my childhood (not toys, but decorative collectables, kitchenware, etc.) and buying things for their nostalgia value. Maybe something like that?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 29/09/2022 10:44

Ooh - I am liking the snood. The toast colour (who the hell has toast that colour?) would go with pretty much every coat I've got.

I'm definitely going to have a mooch for childhood stuff. I've got Totopoly and Scoop which bring back fantastic memories of times at my grandparents.

Really can't have another cat. Not fair on my li'l baby boy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/09/2022 10:54

We bought our kitchen table at auction (because when it’s just the two of you and a cat you need a 7’ x 3’ oak table don’t you 🙄) and I saw so many of my childhood toys. You really regret opening Christmas presents when you see that.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/09/2022 11:03

Mrs Grumpy's favourite thing in the world is her purple snood. Ideal for an era of reduced home heating. Great option!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/09/2022 11:10

I want a game called Masterpiece that my cousin had and that I coveted...

All very 'Fake or Fortune?'

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/09/2022 11:33

Spot Mrs Grumpy's snood 🤣

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/09/2022 11:36

I wanted a barking jumping puppy toy my cousins had. I was a spoilt only and had lots of other toys but he had a jumping puppy fgs.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/09/2022 12:11

Spot Mrs Grumpy's snood 🤣

I'm more interested in knowing who the cats are!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/09/2022 13:25

Basil and Sybil aged about tw. And two of our previous generation of cats who were about 15 at the time (they lived to 17 and 20 respectively)
It's a very long lived snood!

PeloFondo · 29/09/2022 13:39

Ollie is being a pain Grin
I have the heating on and don't want to sit with the window open, paying to heat outside
He can use the door which is next to me so I can open and close it
Well you would think I was asking him to walk over hot coals Confused
