Help me think of names for cats to keep to hand for when I'm short of inspiration

I have to name dozens of cats a month. Any cat I bring in to the rescue that is for homing (as opposed to neuter and return) needs a name. I'm really running out of ideas.

I'm looking for names that aren't actual people names - and preferably that are normal nouns with a nice sound and no awkward connotations.

For example, Puddle and Truffle. They don't need to end in 'le' of course - although that does give a particularly appealing sound I feel.

Any suggestions?

Herbs and spices?
Parsley
Fennel
Basil
Rosemary
Cinnamon
Sage
etc.

Desserts, cloud formations, mountains, flowers, sweets/ chocolates

I did once name a load after fishing areas: Viking, Forties, Cromarty, Dogger, Fisher etc. However it wasn't a great success as most ended up misspelled and mispronounced and generally caused confusion.

Sweets: marshmallow/candy/gum drop/pez/opal/flump/wham/

Chocolate:Smartie/milky/mars/Malteser/truffle/Galaxy/

Accessories: mittens/welly/boots/socks/scarf/snood/

Cloud formations - now that sounds promising.

We currently have a Ralph and a Gwen.. my favourite cat was Jess and his mum Bluey. Bluey was a feral cat that came to us when she was pregnant. We kept her and Jess and found great homes for the rest of the litter.

No, I don't mean lists of similar items. Most of them are single cats. I just want names that sound nice that we haven't already used a hundred times and aren't 'real' names.

For example the last one was called Puddle.

If they are arriving in litters, you could stick with one theme per litter

I assume their adopters will rename them, anyway
You could do the lot just from kitchen spices.

Trees, flowers, herbs, biscuits, sweets and cakes have already been used a hundred times (we name a lot of cats!)

And I agree the name doesn't particularly matter as they will of course be renamed - but I have to write something on the card, which will then be put on the website and my mind goes blank!
