Help me think of names for cats to keep to hand for when I'm short of inspiration

I have to name dozens of cats a month. Any cat I bring in to the rescue that is for homing (as opposed to neuter and return) needs a name. I'm really running out of ideas.

I'm looking for names that aren't actual people names - and preferably that are normal nouns with a nice sound and no awkward connotations.

For example, Puddle and Truffle. They don't need to end in 'le' of course - although that does give a particularly appealing sound I feel.

Actually the cat does look a bit like a Mrs Norris. (grin)

@lljkk Anise is now on our website. We also have a Cicely but she won't be going on the site until we have assessed if she's tame enough to home.

@toppkatz I did call the fluffy tabby Catkin, but she never made it onto the website and will be going to her new home on Saturday.

The local CPL has just advertised cats with chef names - Antony, Gordon, Marco - there's lots of potential there too.

What about female chefs - Delia, Nigella, Fanny... well, maybe not that one

Thanks for suggestions. I now have quite a decent list. I'll just mention once again though, in case people still feel like contributing, that I'm not looking for any 'people names', nor any foreign names/words, nor any names of characters/mythological figures or anything similar.

What I specifically want are normal nouns that could make good names, such as truffle, pawpaw, pebble etc etc.

What about UK rivers? Isis is out for obvious reasons but Nene, Tyne, Tamar, Darwen, Eden, and Lune could work. There's Clyde too but that could cause confusion as you are avoiding people's names. There are a lot of rivers and tributaries too!

My little boy 🐈‍⬛ is called Jester and we don't see that a lot

Nettie - for this list I don't want any proper nouns at all. Just normal nouns or possibly adjectives. But yes, rivers could be good for the future.
