Oh I was desperate for Asbo to like wild freedom dry food because it was organic. He preferred Arden grange instead so I gave it to a lady feeding freaks where her horses lived.

I wonder how they felt going back to ordinary food after wild freedom.

My late DCat would eat any cat food as long as it was Felix meat in jelly. Also cat biscuits of any kind.

She only had to fuel up in the morning for a day spent catching and eating real food.

Yes, it's pinksparkly with Harry. I no longer have DCat, she was 21 when she died, however my DD has a DCat and lives near. Plus there's all you lot and your feline overlords

Did Paws come in backwards or forwards ClientQ?

I may have news! A lady got in touch a few weeks ago. She had seen one of my posters and thought there was a possibility Bertie was visiting her. Cat was incredibly timid (just like my Bert) and she hadn't been able to get a good look. We've been in touch every few days. Yesterday she said cat was coming in every night for food but they were unable to see it. Tonight it has got brave and she's sent me some photos. Far away and poor quality for fear of scaring him away, but the ears look promising. I'm so excited! They're going to keep going, feeding him, luring him in. I'm happy to play the long game. I just want to know he's ok and eventually get him home. I'll attach the pics. Remember my Bertie is mostly black, black nose, white whiskers, white chest, short socks on front paws, longer ones on the back and a very thin white ring close to the end of his tail. And part of his right ear is missing. You can't see his paws or the end of his tail on the pics. What do you all think?

I was thinking the right ear looks blunt. Hopefully it’s him.

I'd say it definitely sounds a possibility. I really hope so Coastergirl. Am sure you are right to take it slowly. Better than frightening him away and having to start again - or worse - never knowing if it is him. Fingers and toes are crossed. Well that is not quite true as I can't cross my toes but hope you are reunited soon.

I'm glad you think so too! They are going to continue what they're doing and hopefully he'll keep getting braver, and we'll work on a plan.

Thank you @nettie434 I do think that taking it slowly is right. Patience was what got me to where I was with him, a lovely affectionate cat, so patience I will use again. Not easy for me!

I have removed all traces of life from the balcony, stripped and scrubbed it. And painted it a non-colour universally recognised as Posh Meh. With a pale blue feature wall and lilac geraniums, it's looking good. Meh looks quite good with plants, as it happens, so it's staying.

There is a paw print in the posh floor. I thought of spraying Feliway into the final coat of paint so the Capn can really get settled into his chillouts in the summer.

Might get him a little sofa.

What exactly is Posh Meh? I can't quite picture it.

Can't wait to see a photo of the fabulously fluffy ginger Cap'n on a sofa!

Oh Coaster, I do hope so. That cat in the pics definitely looks to have part of right ear missing.

I imagined Posh Meh as some sort of Farrow and Bally creamy white or grey Coastergirl. Obviously it must coordinate with Capn V's magnificent coat. I idly googled cat sofa instead of finishing the washing up....

That sofa is magnificent!

It's a few streets away from the old house. A little further than I thought he would go but he's been gone for a while now so could have wandered quite far.

Sofa is a perfect addition. Capn V would look lovely on it.

Posh Meh is a muddle of brown/grey/white/pink usually called things like Elephant's Breath or National Trust Fart.

Quite easy to decorate with and never, ever, referred to as beige.
