Jackson Galaxy does a video on cats with dogs, cats protection do one too which personally I thought was more in-depth.

I thought Jackson glossed over the subject. I still love him though.

Supersimkin2 · 08/07/2020 18:26

Waiting for you to post that @Papergirl1968.

nettie434 · 08/07/2020 18:46

No wonder you are tired Papergirl1968. You have had so much to contend with.

The examples I can think of where dogs and cats live successfully are where the 'interloper' is a kitten or puppy but Jackson Galaxy or Cat's Protection will know much more than me.

I can see how it would be hard to give up the dog because of the circumstances in which you acquired her. How is Matt? Is he getting better?

Papergirl1968 · 08/07/2020 19:04

Matt’s neck seems better, thank you. He’s still spitting and hissing at the dog though, and launching himself at the glass door with his paws. Though as soon as I put some food down he gives the dog one last disdainful glare and walks away to eat.
Socks on the other hand keeps well away, and will only hiss and puff herself up if she feels threatened.
The neighbour at the back of us has replaced a broken fence panel which means our garden is now secure for the dog but the cats can’t escape over to his as easily. They can get up and over the fence but it’s more of an effort. Plenty of dense prickly bushes in our garden to hide behind though.

Papergirl1968 · 08/07/2020 19:05

I’ll look up the cats protection and JG videos.

I had a phone consultation with the vet today about Bertie's noisy breathing. Prescribed anti-inflammatories and just to keep an eye on him. He's asleep on the Sky box at the moment, his new favourite place. Nice and warm.

Oops

swampytiggaa · 08/07/2020 21:07

@coastergirl Gomez adores the sky box too. She likes the smaller one upstairs but ends up lying across the blu ray player as well 🙂

She particularly likes to sit up and watch football and ignore her dad telling her to bloody move 😂😂

Mr C was a bastard for following the snooker. No one else could get a look in.

coastergirl · 08/07/2020 21:30

Aww Bertie and Gomez would get on well. Or they might fight over the Sky box!

Me and Mr C would have got on. I love snooker!

Papergirl1968 · 08/07/2020 21:32

We used to have a cat that likes horse racing and would look behind the tv to see where the horses had gone Grin

Justonedayatatime11 · 08/07/2020 21:36

Mine is just determined to kill the tv Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/07/2020 21:41

I hope that sorts it all out for him Coaster, has he had this before?.

Supersimkin2 · 08/07/2020 22:00

@Justonedayatatime11 Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/07/2020 13:32

Do you need tv with 12 cats to entertain you though?.

Our John Lewis is closing down. Its pretty much put the tin lid on this pandemic. Lord only knows what they’ll put there now.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/07/2020 13:49

I saw my mum & dad yesterday 😁. First time since Christmas. It was soooo lovely. And Mum has done a portrait of Leroy for us 🥰.

I am ridiculously happy today.

Papergirl1968 · 09/07/2020 13:53

Aww, how lovely, Yes. Are we allowed to see it?
Ours too, Fluffy. Birmingham branch. Which to be fair I never go to (either the city or the store as we have an Intu mall much closer. Although goodness knows what will be happening to that).
More shocked about Boots really.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/07/2020 14:00

I was going to, but then I thought it's not really fair to put Mum's work on the internet when I know she wouldn't really want me to. I know we're only a small dim corner of t'internet, but I'm still not comfortable with it, iyswim.

I will if I can persuade her though!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/07/2020 14:02

Ooh... where are you Paper? Birmingham JL is near me too, but we have another one close by.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/07/2020 14:06

It was a lovely thing for her to do regardless.

Ours was Birmingham & Tamworth Angry. The price boots charge I’m surprised they aren’t rolling in it. Overpriced but strangely popular.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/07/2020 15:32

Fortunately our other JL is Solihull which isn't mentioned in the closures list. Yet.

I agree with you about Boots.

Papergirl1968 · 09/07/2020 15:55

I’m near Dudley, Yes, so Merry Hill is on the doorstep.
Lucky Leroy being immortalised!
