He’s just wondering why they put dishes in his fort.

It’s a kittens life isn’t?.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/07/2020 20:10

Oh lord MrTangles has a shotgun. From now on he has Dreamies for every meal washed down with organic gold top.

Can you imagine the outrage if you bought a bigger one though?.

Supersimkin2 · 06/07/2020 21:29

They make a heart shape. Sniff.

swampytiggaa · 06/07/2020 21:36

@Supersimkin2

They make a heart shape. Sniff.
They’ve got their arms around each other 💕

Yes I know they aren’t arms but how else do you describe it?

swampytiggaa · 06/07/2020 21:40

@Fluffycloudland77

I know. I got this one when they were tiny. Bought it off someone who had bought it for her cat as it was exactly the same as the one they had worn out. Cat wouldn’t go near it 😂😂

This is really rickety now and I’m scared to try and replace it

coastergirl · 07/07/2020 09:44

Some fab pictures on here lately!

Bertie was worrying me last night. He was coughing a lot and occasionally making a strange sound with his breathing. Eating and acting normally though. Hoping it was a tricky furball. Just keeping an eye on him for now, seems ok today.

I think it's safe to say that my two are happy to be reunited.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/07/2020 09:48

They certainly look it don’t they?. If you’ve had any diy done the dust can make them cough.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 07/07/2020 11:33

I think it's safe to say that my two are happy to be reunited.

Almost as happy as you are coaster 😁

Allergictoironing · 07/07/2020 12:01

Boycat is doing a strange dry coughing thing, like he's trying to cough something up. Pretty sure he has a furball that won't shift. He did it for a couple of minutes this morning, having done it once about a week ago. Not sure whether to be bothered about it or not right now - I know he's managed to cough a couple up in the past.

Defiantly41 · 07/07/2020 12:32

Furball season here too. Must get out the Kittymalt stuff, it is hilarious watching both of mine run round on 3 paws after it's applied (you apply a stripe on a front paw, but they act as if it were an amputation).

Allergictoironing · 07/07/2020 13:35

Yep, think something like that is going to be my next option. Neither of mine are that prone to hairballs, I find very few and make sure they get Indoor and anti-hairball dry food, but Boycat definitely has a problem & I think that may be it.

Just trying to work out the best one to try him on...

swampytiggaa · 07/07/2020 19:05

@Papergirl1968 how are things with you now?

Papergirl1968 · 07/07/2020 20:08

I’m ok, thanks. Swampy.
The adoption plan was agreed by the court.
Dd was angry afterwards - angry with the world and especially me. I got angry back because some of what she was saying was so nasty. But probably not the time to say it. Then she spent £50 of my money on food we didn’t need which caused another row.
So she flounced off and spent the night with a friend. Today she messaged saying we’re done.
Done till the next time she wants something, I guess...

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/07/2020 20:15

I’m sorry that this is all happening Paper. Did she take the dog?

No one would blame you if you refused to let her back, ever. It seems to me that her behaviours are now so entrenched that you can’t fix them. At this point you are just enabling her and you are destroying your own health in doing so.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/07/2020 20:15

Yep, hopefully when she is grown up and finds you all she will have had a good life & broken the cycle. People do. Apparently Lemmy had an adopted son so straight laced his birth mother couldn’t bear to tell him who is dad was when she found him.

I am sorry you have had to go through all this.

Supersimkin2 · 07/07/2020 20:38

You've made it through a massive day @Papergirl1968, I hope you're having a megadrink with Matt and Socks. You must be shattered.

A rescue will take the dog at some point. She'll end up in a lovely cat-free home being waited on hand and foot in all probability.

Capn V has kipped all day, bar a short break for several vast meals, and waves a tufty paw from the inside of the duvet.

coastergirl · 07/07/2020 22:05

I think we are overdue a Cap'n photo actually!

Paper I really hope you're ok and the dog went with your daughter

Papergirl1968 · 08/07/2020 01:14

Thank you all.
Dog is still here.
She’s good as gold really. It’s rained all day and she’s just been happy to snooze on the sofa, preferably cuddled up to me. Although she did get told off for chasing Socks once. She keeps trying to show Matt her pink pig toy and he is distinctly unimpressed! He will ignore her and walk through the room if she stays on the sofa but if she comes to look at him through the internal glass door he hisses and growls.
I know I could and probably should take the dog to an animal charity but I keep hearing they’re overrun, and being realistic, who is going to want her with her epilepsy?
Neither do I want dd1 back but inevitably she will turn up because she has literally nowhere to go.
Dd2 has been causing problems too at her care home, smashing the place up, assaulting staff and running off, so that’s another worry.
On the plus side, Matt’s neck looks better today.
I’m up late filling in a job application for a part time job in a college library. I hate doing the darned things in particular trying to remember what grade O’levels I got 35 years ago!

Supersimkin2 · 08/07/2020 08:45

Dog will be better off at a charity as they will pay for the meds when she is rehomed. Charities are not overrun, far from it, lockdown has meant loads of people are getting pets. The cats are frightened of her and both clearly showing signs of unhappiness.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 08/07/2020 09:28

in particular trying to remember what grade O’levels I got 35 years ago!

I just put total number of GCSEs including Maths and English and in grades I just put B and above.

And I'm afraid I agree that the dog has to go. It's causing Socks a lot of stress and upset. There are lots of people out there happy to take on an animal with additional needs.

TheSparklyPussycat · 08/07/2020 12:38

Papergirl you are dealing with so much Sad. Just to say I was thnking of you yesterday...

Papergirl1968 · 08/07/2020 15:51

Thanks everyone. Feeling so tired today.
I will feel awful if I take this dog to a charity because she’s a faithful thing, and I don’t think the travellers who had her before took good care of her. She really has bonded with dd and myself.
But on the other hand I feel so guilty that the cats are unhappy.
Even if dd moves and takes the dog with her, I’m not sure how well she’d look after her.
Best case scenario would be the cats learning to tolerate the dog but how long do I give it?!
Matt hissed and growled at poor Socks when we first had her and Socks spent her days hiding but they got used to each other. I just wonder if it’s worth trying with the dog for a bit longer.
