Very nice Swampy's Boychild!

We have painted walls here so no chance of a good scratch. It doesn't stop them from trying to use the woodwork instead. Then they stalk off looking offended when you call them out.

Justonedayatatime11 · 30/06/2020 23:15

Another house destroyer Hmm. Not sure DH will ever get over just how much this little madam has cost us Grin

She looks really grateful though 🤣.

Have you said “it’s not technically the cats fault”?. Always worked here.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 01/07/2020 08:29

Leroy has boxes. Huge boxes. And cardboard. Great big pieces of cardboard. It's not the best interior decor, but it's saved a lot of furniture.

I'll take a picture later, but they're downstairs and I'm kinda comfy here in bed....

swampytiggaa · 01/07/2020 19:06

Tonight’s game is spot the cat. I suppose they’re doing me a favour shredding the carpet 😂😂

Hi swampy

DH wants to know which one is THE cat 😁

Whichever one gets trodden on is the (fucking) cat 😂😂

Ollie is sulking. The kind neighbour has treated the grass today and he is not to step on it. So he's confined indoors and glaring at me

Papergirl1968 · 01/07/2020 22:21

Too cute. Just!
Queen, no walking along MA track tonight then? No wonder he’s upset Grin

Papergirl1968 · 02/07/2020 11:18

Matt has an ouchie! 😿
No idea how this happened. Didn’t notice it last night, he’s been in all night, and I saw this morning he had dried blood under his mouth.
Still managed to put away two breakfasts though.
I’ve emailed the photos to the vet so waiting to hear back from them.

Looks like something’s burst. Asbo had a fight wound burst on his head and never let on it was sore when I furminated his head.

It must be so sore.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/07/2020 11:33

Charlie is not driving himself to the vet. Charlie intends to hijack the car and drive in the opposite direction to the vet.

Poor Matt! I hope he is OK :(

@YetAnotherSpartacus

Charlie is not driving himself to the vet. Charlie intends to hijack the car and drive in the opposite direction to the vet.

Poor Matt! I hope he is OK :(

Charlie has also been reading posts about scratched chairs, wallpaper and carpets so he has got a list to give to Just demonstrating that he is not the only cat with a lack of respect for furniture and furnishings.

Poor Matt - that really does look sore. Hope it's nothing serious papergirl1968.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 02/07/2020 11:58

That is one hell of an Ouchie! Poor Matt - sending him lots of love, and a noseboop • from Leroy.

Guiltypleasures001 · 02/07/2020 12:03

Oh Matt what's he been up to
Hope he's ok lovely

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2020 12:18

I bet another cats scratched Matts chin with their back leg during a fight.

Papergirl1968 · 02/07/2020 12:18

Have paid £25 for a phone consultation so waiting now for the vet to look at the photos and call back.
Totally mystified as to how it happened!

Papergirl1968 · 02/07/2020 15:21

The vet says it looks like he had a bite or scratch from another cat a few days ago, which has got infected and burst.
She’s sorting us out with painkillers, antibiotics and something to clean it with, and Matt is grounded for a couple of days.
My poor baby! I feel really guilty for not noticing but she said that wounds are hard to see aroundvtue neck.
I wonder who the culprit is. I do know it wouldn’t be Socks as she’s much too wimpy!

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/07/2020 15:37

Socks is a good girl 😲 she wouldn’t do that. Some evil cat has attacked Matt.

Papergirl1968 · 02/07/2020 16:01

If it was Socks who had been attacked, I’d suspect Matt but definitely not the other way round!
I even suspected the dog but they’re not allowed together yet!

Supersimkin2 · 02/07/2020 17:21

Matt! No! He has been bravely defending your honour! Socks wouldn't do that, and thank God it's not V-e-e-eee-enus come-here-V-e-e-eenus.

(Fenton! CHRIST! F-E-E-E-NTON)

Abscesses are practically impossible to spot until they burst, ie what you saw this am. He'll be fine when the ABs kick in.

Poor darling Matt, send him massive love and super-gentle kisses on his lovely head from me and V.

Poor you as well, what a nasty shock. Vet was the smart move, wasn't it.

Supersimkin2 · 02/07/2020 17:22

Do we have to contact the DVLA re Charlie @Justonedayatatime11? I can't stop cackling when I look at his pix.

Papergirl1968 · 02/07/2020 18:14

Yes, Lana, although I’m still in shock from the £55 bill for painkillers, antibiotics and antiseptic, plus the £25 telephone consultation fee!
Matt is a little subdued but he’s eating ok.
