Oh dear - someone looks very bereft. @Justonedayatatime11 if it's any help toothmarks are deliberately restrained. Capn V bit me for the first time ever when it was eardrops time yesterday; not hard, bless him. Poor little boy got a shock from the oil going in.

swampytiggaa · 29/06/2020 22:30

Just found Gomez waiting for me when I came up to bed...

And my left boob bears scratch marks from Socks who leapt out of my arms to get away from the dog.
Socks raced off to the back of the garden, followed by the dog in hot pursuit, followed by me yelling Venus, no!
Sigh...

My boys have had a very unusual day. They're normally very boring chilled. This morning Bertie was tearing around, in and out of the house, chasing a ball. His tail was huge. Walter was sat looking at me with a face that clearly said "what the fuck is he doing?!" This went on for hours, then it all calmed down. Then at tea time tonight, they started again. Chasing each other in and out of the house, sounded like a herd of elephants! Not sure what's got into them. Anyway, they clearly wore themselves out.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/06/2020 06:43

Was it a new ball though?.

Borings just another way of saying reliable & consistent. Except for Bertie’s recent camping trip 😉

coastergirl · 30/06/2020 08:03

Kind of new. Not theirs though. One of the many to have been evicted from the ball pool by the baby. It was nice to see them having fun. The wanderer is currently climbing on me and sticking his nose in my face. In fact my eyes are watering and he just licked my face. Cute.

Supersimkin2 · 30/06/2020 09:13

@coastergirl, they're just so pleased to be home and together, aren't they Grin A bit frisky from sheer happiness Grin

Only two more Eardrops Days to go. Currently me and Capn are collapsed at either side of the ring flat with 12 packets of Dreamies that are shrinking fast, as is the savlon. Bedroom needs painting now.

Allergictoironing · 30/06/2020 09:50

Bedroom needs painting now.

Surely red splashes in a random pattern can be considered as Modern Art? All that effort Capn V went through to get exactly the decor effect he was after, and you're going to paint over it - Philistine!

Supersimkin2 · 30/06/2020 10:27

It's eardrops in a fine, Japonica-style spray reminiscent of the new Damien Hirst cherry blossom pics :)

TheLongRider · 30/06/2020 10:44

Super - I feel your pain. My cat's contribution to modern redecorating involves spattered eye drops. See also snot dribbles on the windows where he sits on neighbourhood watch.

Allergictoironing · 30/06/2020 11:21

Be thankful ladies - mine has stripped great chunks of wallpaper off the living room walls. I did fix a scratcher right in the middle of the worst bit, which his sister loves and Boycat ignores very pointedly.

swampytiggaa · 30/06/2020 13:25

I have hanging strips of wallpaper all over the house. H is not impressed.

Supersimkin2 · 30/06/2020 14:18

''The stylish home should reflect its inhabitants' interests.'' Perfect, we are.

I've got a corner wall scratcher Allergic, Capn won't touch it. Prefers carpet, he's no fool.

Joking apart, there really is nothing worse than a prissy house, eh, galz.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/06/2020 14:44

I suspect wall paper is for people without pets. Also carpets, fabric sofas, curtains.

Minimalism is the look their aiming for.

swampytiggaa · 30/06/2020 15:23

A couple of my walls and one of my dining chairs. House used to be lovely 😂😂

Ollie is covering his eyes in horror at the thought of scratching anything that belongs to mama Grin
I swear he's actually a stuffed animal

nettie434 · 30/06/2020 15:59

Is Ollie saying how can you moan about a little track outside, QueenCT, when he is so good about not scratching anything inside? It's definitely swings and roundabouts swampytiggaa. Shame about the chair and wallpaper but Gomez waiting for you to go to bed is 💖💖💖

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/06/2020 16:01

From now on swampy you’ll look for furniture with durability.

QueenCT · 30/06/2020 16:02

Pretty much Grin I think even the track is him trying not to trample the grass everywhere weirdo

swampytiggaa · 30/06/2020 16:02

On the upside boychild is training to be a painter and decorator so when or if they stop scratching he can redecorate for us 🙂

Allergictoironing · 30/06/2020 16:12

I only have wallpaper in a cat house because it was there when I moved in, about 8 years pre-cats. Don't see the point of changing inoffensive wall coverings just because they are over a certain age.

OTOH an ex work mate of mine always seemed to be redecorating. When I asked why he hadn't finished, he explained that his wife insisted on every room being redone from scratch every 2 years. OK not NEW bathroom & kitchen fixtures, but repainting in those rooms & new lighting fixtures etc., new everything in all the other rooms including carpets, lights, furniture. When I asked him how much it was costing them every 24 months he went a bit green round the gills Grin.

Supersimkin2 · 30/06/2020 18:55

Swampy Grin Grin - it's very stately home chic, your house. Not remotely knackered as you make out, but you have captured the smart-with-a-bit of-lived-in look a lot of people in London would kill for.

Boychild a credit to you. God, aren't useful relations the best.

swampytiggaa · 30/06/2020 19:27

I’ve also got loads of dust everywhere and slightly grubby floors. I’ll class it as chic rather than everything going to shit since I broke my arm 😂😂

swampytiggaa · 30/06/2020 19:29

Boychild did this at college after less than 6 months on his course. I told him his tutor was a sadistic bastard for giving him that wallpaper. But apparently he chose it himself for a challenge. I have great hopes for my house one day😂😂

Bloody hell, that's good. If he ever fancies a 'free holiday' in London you know where to call...

Dust is upper class.
