Ollie was most bemused at the ring light and kept peeping his head out his igloo bed to check what was going on

DBro said he dreamed about PB. (He talks, apparently.)

Ollivander84 · 30/09/2018 23:02

PB talks? What did he say? Grin

We must know!

Can't wait Grin

LanaorAna2 · 01/10/2018 13:31

Nippy but blazing sun here - Mr C has been unmoving on throw so long I fear he might get moth.

I dreamed about meeting Dbro and asking him what PB said but I woke up before I found out! Tobermory responsible.

Allergictoironing · 01/10/2018 19:54

I am very much in disgrace. Girlcat rather uncharacteristically threw up last night just before bed time. About 2 hours after breakfast she threw up again, projectile vomiting going about 18 inches. 4 hours later she threw up AGAIN, projectile again just as far, and then a third time right after. Cue phone call to the V.E.T.

She gave me a bit of a runaround catching her to go in the crate, then meowed pathetically all the way there. Once we were there & she was out of the cage, all she wanted to do was press against me & bury her head in my arm - Girlcat doesn't usually do cuddles Sad. Head to toe check, thermometer up her bum, Antacid in her mouth and anti nausea injection. Not a squeak from her, just clinging to my hand with her paw all the way through & face in my other arm. She didn't even want to go back into her crate as it meant being separated from me (totally out of character).

Vet thinks it may be just one of those things, and to keep an eye on her for a few days & maybe keep the treats in check. She also said she appears to be a very healthy cat in general and perfect weight for her size (NOT overweight, one of my larger fears).

Poor little girl has still come down a couple of times to check on me since we've been back, I don't want to disturb her any more so haven't gone looking for her.

cozietoesie · 01/10/2018 20:21

DBro averred that PB seemed generally 'grumpy about life'. Grin

LanaorAna2 · 01/10/2018 21:38

Sounds about right Grin I hope it was a list of demands, room service, pls make it stop raining, stop looking at MY selection of LWTs, can you make My Cozie a cup of tea NOW .

Good Luck tonight A Girlcat seems like she's on the mend. :) So sweet she trusts you so entirely.

Allergictoironing · 01/10/2018 22:03

Thanks L. She seems settled OK now, even let me scritch her chin just now and devoured her dinner - poor thing must have been starving having thrown everything up.

Vet did suggest something plain like boiled chicken, but I pointed out that she won't even touch roast chicken, beef, lamb or anything that classes as human food except mama's slow cooked gammon. Vet agreed with her normal diet, but reduced treats.

cozietoesie · 01/10/2018 22:34

It does sound about right. Grin

Lovely snuggles in bed pre getting up! The very best.

A I'm having your gammon this weekend! Will be with Girlcat in spirit. Hope you both feeling restored today.

Mr C smashed up the bedside table in the night. Wanted Dreamies. I don't know why the expression 'cat burglar' is used to denote stealth and silence.

I reckon he woke the neighbours up with the crashing and banging. When he got hold of the packet the grunty purring would have woken the dead.

Bit tired today, he seems fine.

Allergictoironing · 02/10/2018 10:31

L Girlcat is looking fine, and doesn't seem to be holding a grudge. As for me however....! I got my PC back from the computer vet early afternoon, so hauled the desk out & cleaned 10 years of rubbish, fallen down paper & general dust and detritus before he returned the PC. This needed max painkillers to cope with. Then hauling large cat in large carrier to V E T & back again, and all this had to be on put the rubbish out night.

I ache, badly. Sciatica is down to my foot on one side & ankle the other. Sacrum area is sort of itchy/tingly, painkillers barely touching it. Roll on median nerve steroid injections - only 2 days to go!

LanaorAna2 · 02/10/2018 11:05

Only 2 days.... chin up, you'll make it. Mr C performing his toilette below.

PB's Russian cousin has been cleared in court of turning the heating up.Naughty

cozietoesie · 02/10/2018 22:28

The cat done it. (The judge and the utility company were way wrong.) Grin

LanaorAna2 · 02/10/2018 22:42

My thoughts exactly - someone needs a LWTski.

London is glorious in the day, arctic after dark. PB and little Vasya wouldn't have it at all - Mr C already in bed.

Ollivander84 · 02/10/2018 22:53

I've just ordered a dress Blush
It was £80, reduced to £19. One left in my size

LanaorAna2 · 02/10/2018 23:35

Evening all! Mistah Cory here. We is frenz so yaz can call me Sir.

Me fat servant in worst disgrace, evah, innit. Did I ask for pet manicure with complementary paw massage?

I did NOT. Me claws is clipped. Me servant covered in blood and fur.

I screamed at me servant - three times, really loudly - when I got off me bed, and am refusing to have me sweets. Serve the old girl right.

AIBU to waz on sofa?

cozietoesie · 03/10/2018 00:05

Lordy. Did he?

LanaorAna2 · 03/10/2018 00:08

No. But he was thinking about it Grin He got off the bed slowly, stalked off with dignity, then sat down, turned round and yowled really aggrievedly at me three times. Eye contact, long wails of indignation.

Interesting how the tones humans and cats use for emotions are identical - happy chirping to outraged, er, boundary setting. No words required.

I had to clip them, it's starting to really hurt when he paws me. I did the lot gently but firmly, first time ever.

Ollivander84 · 03/10/2018 07:38

Does anyone else's cat purr when they eat. Noticed today Ollie purrs from when I put his food down all the way through to when he's finished HmmGrin

I’m the servant covered in blood today, Lana. I got up in the night to go to the bathroom, and had a lovely cuddle with Matt when I got back into bed. He was lying horizontally across the bed ie taking up three quarters of it, furry tummy displayed for a tickle, purring and enjoying it.
He pushed my hand anyway with his paws but I was half asleep and didn’t realise he’d had enough so he then scratched and bit just so I got the message loud and clear. Why? Why do they go from loving a fuss one minute to hating it the next? Cats! They are a law unto themselves!
And apart from getting up briefly for his breakfast, the lazy bastard didn’t roll out of bed till 3.45pm yesterday so he has a bloody great life Confused

Allergictoironing · 03/10/2018 09:07

I do Boycat's claws slowly over a couple of weeks. Try to catch him dozing off during a belly rub and sneakily do a few claws or a whole paw. Leave it for a couple of days & get another paw done and so on. For Girlcat I get my DSis round to hold her firmly & do the lot in one go.

BUT - I do have kitties that (touching wood) don't bite or claw when they are unhappy, they just wriggle like otters to get away.
