A sympathies, my mum has one leg an inch shorter and she knackered her back at 18, so I know only too well the screaming agony when it goes. The whole street knew, to be honest. She used to lie on the kitchen floor for hours until her leg clicked back in. On the upside, she's 81 and she's been fine for about 20 years.

(except on Christmas Eve, when the sight of the turkey inevitably triggers relapse. I feel this is not medical, however :)).

LanaorAna2 · 17/09/2018 22:01

Pole fitness is incredibly good for your core strength, isn't it, we all need a bit of that.

Allergictoironing · 17/09/2018 22:36

I think I'd be happy just being able to go for a couple of miles walk along a shoreline again. I used to ride 5 times a week including intensive dressage training (and muck out etc every day ofc), go on hill walking holidays, explore ancient ruins. Now I feel like I'm the ancient ruin! Grin

I've had 2 agents call me this week to see my availability for financial administrator or paraplanner jobs locally today, I've had to tell both of them to call me back after the steroid injections, when we will know if they have worked with me or not.

Ah well, at least the kitties are happy having me at their beck and call near enough 24/7.

Ollivander84 · 17/09/2018 22:52

I feel ancient sometimes, this is my herniated disc pre op and post op
I have a small bulge at L4/L5 and they think degenerative disc disease

People waving jobs at you is sometimes a good problem to have :)

O That hurts just looking at it. Are the white splodges the escaping discs? That one at the base is halfway through the front of you.

Ollivander84 · 17/09/2018 23:17

Where the white arrow is on the left, that's where the disc burst
The very bright white bit on the right one is scar tissue

Oh and the white long vertical bit is my spinal cord so you can see where it was being pressed on a lot!

Has anyone seen a chiropractor? I had a look see (on the net) last night and their praises were being sung.

Ollivander84 · 17/09/2018 23:48

Yes, made mine worse! Physio was the best for me as she actually spotted the problem, stopped treatment and sent me for an urgent MRI. If she hadn't done that, I don't know where I would be

Ewww, in an impressed way.

cozietoesie · 18/09/2018 00:52

Gosh.

Ollivander84 · 18/09/2018 01:15

cozie Grin that made me laugh because you sounded like the neurosurgeon
"Well that's a little bit bulging. Ok, it's bloody massive" Grin

Allergictoironing · 18/09/2018 09:36

Depends so much on the individual chiropractor Cozie. Mine is marvelous, I wouldn't still be walking without her. And it helps that I've known her off & on since early teens, so I get "mates rates" Grin, plus I get to fuss her Doberman AND visit her rather high class showjumpers.

I personally prefer the McTimony style as I find it gentler with the same level of effect afterwards.

Ollivander84 · 18/09/2018 11:13

O has sat and carefully watched me clean out his tray. I walked off and he immediately got in it and did a giant wee Hmm
Refusing to go outside as it's wet and windy here and apparently "no good for cats"

This is Matt snuggled up to my leg on the sofa. Purring at the top of his voice. It’s most unlike him to lie against me in the day that I can’t bring myself to move. We luffs each other 😻

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/09/2018 20:00

Don't worry, they soon forget.

Ollivander84 · 19/09/2018 21:22

He was weaving in between my legs. He's had a cuddle and watched a bird video Blush

Mr C at vet to check bloods pre-op.

He escaped from his carrier and Nurse Lee and me had to move all the furniture and chairs to get him back. It took ages, am dead proud of the little lad because he put up a massive fight but did not bite :)

Now more deeply in love with Nurse Lee than ever. The sight of Mr C in his burly arms is enough to make a maiden swoon.

Cuddles are A GOOD THING. (He'll have forgotten about the tail.)

Ollivander84 · 20/09/2018 18:35

He watched a bird/squirrel video for 40 mins until I wanted the iPad back. Paws tucked under him and head going from side to side every time a bird moved Grin
