They forget about it long enough to leave the tail sticking out for next time. My dm wore shoes in the house and the cats learnt tails need to be tucked in the painful way.

cozietoesie · 21/09/2018 20:37

PB had two slices of (thin) ham to eat. I wonder whether I've created a petard which I am now hoisted with?

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2018 20:40

Hand carved or pre-packed?

Guiltypleasures001 · 21/09/2018 20:43

Crumbed or honey ? 😁

cozietoesie · 21/09/2018 21:02

Pre-packed and very very ordinary. Smile

LanaorAna2 · 21/09/2018 21:08

Happens to the best of us Grin

Talking of which, I had a long telephone call re Mr C 's diet with the Chief Vet as I was worried about him cat food refusing. I am too weak to go into the details, but I appear to have been the victim of sophisticated nutritional manipulation.

Nurse Lee said he 'guarantees no cat starves to death on Gourmet' to cheer me up.

cozietoesie · 21/09/2018 21:10

I know how it is, Lana. I'm being played myself. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2018 21:49

PB's thinking it's been a long hard slog training you but you are slowly learning.

Ollivander84 · 21/09/2018 22:07

Yodel are holding ollies kitten food hostage. I told him to pin them down but he didn't succeed. Zooplus being v good but still no parcel Angry

There's a special place in hell for Yodel. Ask for your delivery charge back.

10:40, Friday pm and still recovering. After an unpleasant vet visit which involved a discussion of my Obligatory Cultural Re-education, Mr C's furry slumber was rudely interrupted by a storm. He came in to wake me up at 3am.

He was warning me about it - bless his furry heart. Slapped me on nose till I got up - he had to keep going because I thought he wanted a snack and said no the first time (Get me Grin).

Then pictures came crashing off the walls, curtains ripped off walls, back door bolt exploded, blind fell off and smashed a load of wall out. Poor little cat got the fear a bit, had to read a book while doing soothing strokes for a while.

As a finale, the front door got stuck shut and I had to rip the hall floor off this morning to get something under the door so I could lever it open and get out of house. Meh, could use new blinds and flooring anyway, the long-suffering seller known 'cheapest on ebay' who cuts stuff to fit will be getting a call and some wobbly pix of the wreckage.

Pictures are totally undamaged, which is bloody amazing.

Ollivander84 · 21/09/2018 22:59

That all sounds rather energetic Shock
The face Ollie is pulling at Sainsbury's own brand cat food, I almost feel sorry for Yodel...

LanaorAna2 · 21/09/2018 23:41

Bastard Yodel man deserves everything he gets. Yep I'm knackered and in bed already with mini cheddars and the Dreamies.

Mr C won't touch Sainsbury's either. Persevere.

Ollivander84 · 21/09/2018 23:46

He has licked the jelly off it and eaten a mouthful while doing "NO LIKE" face at me. Tough Grin I'm not spending more money when I've got a £30 order somewhere in Lancashire

OP posts:
LanaorAna2 · 22/09/2018 08:43

Quite right. Variety is the spice of life, anyway.

Mr C has rejected Gourmet and Country Hunter for breakfast. Sulking, eyes narrowed to slits, in bed staring at what remains of the Dreamies packet after he helped himself in the night.

The other thing is that he's now refusing point blank to use his half of the bed, preferring to take his rest starfish-style in the centre. Imagine a small, fat tigerskin rug where the claws shoot out if you try and peel it off.

He won't move even tho I woke up freezing several times. Having a nice hot coffee now. Off to buy bedsocks.

Ollivander84 · 22/09/2018 11:48

I'm at Yodel. They can't find the parcel they tried to deliver three times Hmm

Guiltypleasures001 · 22/09/2018 12:27

I had a dream early hours this morning that something was walking up my legs, woke up with a start and kicked out, to see the cats arse and legs disappearing in to the distance in mid air.

Then I dropped of again and she did it again, and again I kicked out. Got up for a wee feeling very guilty because she had disappeared, looked in to large teens room
And there she is being consoled by a belly rub, at 4.50 in the morning.
Smuggo cat with her favourite human Hmm

She only accepts cuddles off of HIM, everyone else is at a finger tip only distance

cozietoesie · 22/09/2018 16:35

I went into the drawer last night and broke off some bits of treat stick: turned round and there was PB - on the bed looking anxiously around. That cat is too too bright. (It's a different bed to the one upstairs. Smile)

LanaorAna2 · 22/09/2018 17:46

On The Bed! Grin

His rest is where you are. And his treats...

LanaorAna2 · 22/09/2018 17:48

Guilty - you made me laff out loud and wake Mr C :)

Ollivander84 · 22/09/2018 18:55

Clever PB! I have done a 20 mile trip and glared a lot and now have my parcel
O is eating baby kitten pate. Delicious he says and v easy to eat with lack of teeth

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 22/09/2018 19:37

Talking about lack of teeth.......I never did find the remains of my chicken drumstick. Grin

Ollivander84 · 22/09/2018 19:40

Grin had a sleep earlier, O slept under the duvet with his head on my pillow and a paw draped across my chest
Daft cat

OP posts:
LanaorAna2 · 22/09/2018 22:04

Lovely - day sleeping with cats is best ever.

Did the whole drumstick go? He's getting confident Grin

Ollivander84 · 22/09/2018 22:39

He's asleep again now. Apparently a tray of kitten pate and a tin of shredded chicken kitten food makes for a sleepy boy

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 22/09/2018 23:17

That was Seniorboy, Lana. (aka 'The Toothless Wonder - which was mightily unfair of the vet given that she left him with ONE at the back.)

Grin
