I will be up there Tuesday bearing food. Should I introduce them to dreamies?

LanaorAna2 · 13/05/2018 20:42

Oh YES pls.

Ollivander84 · 13/05/2018 20:52

I need to get the Prince O some food so will grab some. Maybe some lick e lix too...

cozietoesie · 13/05/2018 20:56

I would guess that the groom has already tried them on Dreamies. Wink

Ollivander84 · 13/05/2018 21:10

Oh definitely not! Nobody else gets food for them apart from me, they only get dry when I'm not there. Hence the utmost adoration when I turn up Wink

Hah! (You're forgetting the effect of jealousy. Wink)

Ollivander84 · 13/05/2018 21:20

The groom is very much "sodding kittens, under my bloody feet, why is Fred shrieking?"
No love lost Wink
O has scoffed an entire pouch and now has the zoomies

cozietoesie · 13/05/2018 21:33

It sounds to me, actually, as if the groom is smitten. Grin

Ollivander84 · 13/05/2018 21:47

Possibly a secret soft spot there!

cozietoesie · 13/05/2018 21:51

Mark my words! Wink

LanaorAna2 · 13/05/2018 21:57

By Christmas Fred & Ginge will sporting Santa hats, have a turkey to serve 16, each, and a pile of wrapped gifts while the groom will be denying all knowledge :)

cozietoesie · 13/05/2018 23:14

PB has been chastised and shut in his room. After a long long period of good behaviour, he's done some spraying on his new tray. (Placed in the next room.) It may be to do with that but I have to observe protocol.............

LanaorAna2 · 13/05/2018 23:32

Bad luck C. It must have been a bit of a spring fling.

cozietoesie · 13/05/2018 23:51

I think it may be the new tray placement. (With luck, anyway.) He's enjoying being chastised though. Sad

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2018 00:31

O is crying in his sleep Sad

Gather him up and cuddle him. Get him close to you. Smile

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2018 00:46

I've woken him up. Not unusual, he does seem to have nightmares (can cats have them?!) but hadn't had one for ages

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 14/05/2018 01:05

He's had a difficult past. I'd be surprised if there was absolutely no trace of that, ever,

cozietoesie · 14/05/2018 01:14

PS - I don't see why they can't have them.

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2018 01:15

I've given him mousie and he's holding my finger with his paw Hmm
Soft lump of a cat

cozietoesie · 14/05/2018 01:32

Awwwwwww. Smile

LanaorAna2 · 14/05/2018 11:13

Mr C had awful nightmares when he came to me. This is what I did that worked for him, hope it's useful.

I held him for up to 40 min at a time in the night, very gently, not saying much and just being there. When he was a bit better he got a couple of very small strokes and he slowly went back to sleep.

I was superslow, and very quiet. He doesn't have them any more, but they took a few years to vanish completely. What happened in the end was that the touch of my hand calmed him down, and I got a grunty purr instead of a terrified cat. He hates foxes and if he hears one at night I am required to go to sleep with my hand on his back.

cozietoesie · 14/05/2018 14:55

Impeccable use of main tray during the night.

LanaorAna2 · 14/05/2018 15:18

Brilliant. He's got the idea. Yest. was prob just a one-off attack of naughtiness - reassuring really, he's just venting. Literally Grin

Mr C has got new box and is in it, of course. He hassled me with his paws to get me to open the tape faster so he could insert himself.

Ollivander84 · 14/05/2018 18:35

£27 later I am back from pets at home. Kittens will have dreamies and lick e lix tomorrow Grin
Please note the kittens cost me approx £4 for food and treats, the other £23 was for awkward fussy little prince
