Realised I filled up the last thread with inanity!

Come one, come all, what's your cat up to today?

Mine are pleased that I'm home in time for the end of Pointless. Unfortunately they hate Pointless and would rather sit outside in the rain glowering in at me.

DW - 'nice car' would be good too but meant cat.

caoraich · 20/06/2018 07:45

Ahhh grumpy how are the kittens?
It was very rainy last night and this was obviously my fault, cats kept coming and rubbing their wet heads on us.
Here's Maisie, judging me from the attic...

The kittens are brilliant - both incredibly affectionate and very much lap cats (though not appreciated at 3 this morning when Carl decided he needed to be loved so jumped on me and purred his head off.
Sybil is slowly getting better with them; far less hissing and growling now. She is however in disgrace this morning as she was out last night and there is a dead bat on the doormat.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/06/2018 08:09

We have also started introducing the kittens to the outside world (Karl being a master escape artist has accelerated this). Needless to say we'll be in complete panic the first few times they go out unaccompanied.

Looking at how much my Luna has grown 😭

She came to us at 4 weeks old (the seller had lied to us, we reported her and now will do our research in future or adopt) and wouldn't eat a thing. We took her to the vets who told us her real age, and gave us some kitten milk formula and a pipette to feed her with, and said he didn't think she'd last the week.

One week later, I was eating chicken and rice. I put it on the floor momentarily to get comfortable, and she ran out from under the sofa, grabbed this huge chicken breast bigger than her, and took it under the sofa! When I put my hand in to try and break it up for her, she did the only growl she's ever done!

Fast forward to now and she still curls up on my chest like she did when she was tiny Grin much bigger though!

The end of our kitchen table tends to end up being a dumping ground for unopened mail, unread newspapers etc. So we have tidied and got an intray...

user1467976192, ok, what did you do to her?

user1467976192 · 21/06/2018 15:04

Nothing she’s had a day to herself because her brother had to go to the vets.. clearly this is how she spends her alone time

Want2beme · 22/06/2018 18:18

Being a brat, trying to get into a room she's not allowed in.

Ate my unattended salmon that I was saving for lunch. My fault I suppose - you'd think I'd know not to leave food unattended by now!

Greedy little shit Grin

Had to put my poor boy into a cattery today as my cat sitter let me down.
I felt like the worst person on earth as I shut the door on him and he poked his paws through the mesh as me.Sad

Oldraver · 23/06/2018 10:24

I've just had this photo from DS1...it's an early birthday present of Ernie socks.

Yes socks with actual Earnie's printed on them

Want2beme · 23/06/2018 10:50

How long is he in for, Weeds?

Oldraver brilliant idea!

Weedsnseeds1 · 23/06/2018 11:34

8 days, poor little boy Sad

LanguidLobster · 23/06/2018 14:05

Cat is so cute it's unreal!

It's taking half an hour to get home though instead of 2 mins as she is not skilled in the ways of cat harnesses. Baby steps (it's a new thing)

Aww Each they obviously missed you. Love how cuddly with each other they are.

Mine have taken to lying on my chest and pawing and purring at the bump which is sweet but odd! I'm hoping the baby can hear the purring though! We did lots of rearranging of rooms today and they are a bit perturbed, they're now hiding in the spare room, poor things
