Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

The old tabbie point male (one of the first pair that dh and I got) did get a wee bit overweight at one point: it was a nightmare to try to restrict his food when both he and his sister were used to grazing. Muscat (his sister) just didn't understand that she needed to eat when we put the food that we were hiding down for her Confused

I'm having to remember not to leave much - if anything - around. He goes on the hunt for it. Gawd help me if he decides he likes fruit one of these days. Grin

I have never had a cat (fearful since I was scratched by grannies neighbours, coincidentally a beautiful Siamese boy!) but found this thread by chance the other day and read 20+ pages. It is such a lovely thread I am now on daily updates of Newboy and was thrilled to see the photo, lol x

Lovely picture and what a huge stair case you have all that exercise for him. Makes me sad for my flat cats! Will he be allowed out eventually?

cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 13:16

Nope. He's to be an indoor boy. Smile

Haven't been around much lately (changing job stuff) but lovely to see him. Bit hard to make out the details but he looks beautiful!

cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 14:13

BIG excitement. His new bags of Country Hunter treats have just arrived and he loves them so. The bags are hidden in cupboards which I don't think he can open yet. (I learned my lesson after that bag was stolen recently.) He's a bright cat and can easily put two and two together. A thief but a bright one. Grin

^ do you think he is treating you mean to keep you keen?

cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 14:15

I'll try for a better photo soon, ilove. Hope the new job is fine. Smile

If so, Yet, he has real natural talent. Grin

cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 14:18

Yep. He's headed off downstairs.

To look for BAGS, I'll be bound. Wink

iloveeverykindofcat · 08/08/2017 16:19

Ha ha ha he's a cheeky one really!

RubbishMantra · 08/08/2017 16:37

"The bags are hidden in cupboards which I don't think he can open yet."

Yet being the most important word in that sentence.

cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 16:59

Yep. Sad

Ollivander84 · 08/08/2017 17:20

He's probably sat downstairs flexing his thumbs and plotting away from the creature Wink

Allergictoironing · 08/08/2017 17:27

You may want to consider heavy duty tupperware for keeping the treat bags in Grin, I sometimes have a problem with that myself so MAY slow him down a bit.

Mine are very fond of their sweeties, but are sooo polite that they don't even touch the wide open bag of Dreamies in the middle of the (very cluttered) coffee table. Closest they have come to theft was a couple left out on my bedside table which sort of vanished while I was out one day.

cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 17:33

Trouble is that I can't really have The Conversation with him at the moment.

cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 18:01

I just heard a strange and unexpected scrapey scuttling noise from downstairs. I'm trying not to go look.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 08/08/2017 18:06

I weakened. It seems I left the hall cupboard door open by mistake. He hadn't been in there before. Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/08/2017 14:03

of course^ you did :).

cozietoesie · 10/08/2017 14:05

We now have an......arrangement. I pretend to ignore him and he pretends to ignore me. Smile

OP posts:
YetAnotherSpartacus · 10/08/2017 14:08

Do you talk to yourself him while you are pretending to ignore him?

cozietoesie · 10/08/2017 14:47

Of course. Smile

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 10/08/2017 14:48

He hides under the (low) glass topped table. He thinks he can't be seen. Wink
