Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

I got vocally screeched at today because I put chicken in his bowl and not at the side of it ConfusedHmm
Just think you'll be going "mmm hmmm" and "really?" In no time Grin

I've realised how sloppy our habits became with an old cat who didn't jump. I'm rethinking a great many things.

There's a terrible silence downstairs at the moment. I'm repressing the urge to go down and check what he's up to. Grin

Check house insurance! Grin

cozietoesie · 24/07/2017 21:43

I don't have 'accidental damage' on my policy. Grin

Any more breakages in the night?

It's ok, I can't get insurance either. Our block is known locally as Grenfell II, 15 fires in 4 years. :)

Whenever we've done a fiery flit, I just grab Mr C and go, as you know. Priorities, eh.

cozietoesie · 25/07/2017 11:16

Another quiet night. Smile

He's getting bolder isn't he? Giving you scrutinising looks and squawks. It'll be a firm friendship, you've let him come to you on his terms. MCat, inspired by Newboy's theft of the chicken thigh, attempted to make off with a raw Newmarket sausage last night.

cozietoesie · 25/07/2017 13:38

I'm in a small degree of difficulty because I can't really impose discipline until he bonds properly. He's adjusting though. He had a madcap 10 minutes yesterday evening (racing everywhere) which I guess loosed some of the pent- up mumble.

And he's yet to discover the rest of the house! Grin Gawd help the mice in the basement.

Wacky races - a v good sign.

I can only get Mr C out of the Amazon box now for Tickly Fingers at bedtime. He's in there now with a slice of beef brisket.

cozietoesie · 26/07/2017 18:41

Was he given it? Wink

No. Well, not that slice. :)

I'm afraid so. Just got in after a night out to feed Mr C.

He sniffs my breath when I get in, should I dare step out in the evening. He makes sure I haven't eaten anything he would have wanted. And to see if I've had a drink. I have, too. Wine x 2, burger.

Lucky this isn't on the Relationships thread :)

Lanaorana2 · 27/07/2017 23:33

Sorry, that posted before I said what I really wanted to ie How is Newboy?

cozietoesie · 28/07/2017 00:18

A judgemental cat Lana , that would terrify me! I have only had " couldn't care less as long as you feed me" and " I love you, I am your stalker" ( current model) cats!
I am desperate for a picture of Newsboy!

Weedsnseeds1 · 28/07/2017 00:47

Newboy .... Autocorrect

Lanaorana2 · 28/07/2017 10:14

Oh God, Weeds, Mr C woke me up deliberately at 720 to see if I had a hangover. I do.

If anyone comes round for supper, at 9:59pm exactly he flings both back legs round his neck and launches 'intimate' grooming' in front of them. The online dating efforts were a fiasco.

Glad Newboy is snacked up. All this food is a really good sign.

TheLongRider · 28/07/2017 11:25

Lanaora Grin

Maybe he's suggesting to your suitors that they too will end up neutered! Confused He's marking his territory with you.
