Currently in the middle of making arrangements to meet - he's a breed rescue - and yet to check over the house for 'breakability' issues etc. (He's only young - and it's a good few years since I had a cat that could potentially leap living with me.)

Yikes!!

I can hear movement downstairs. After the treats debacle, it makes me edgy.Grin

I caved and gave him his second supper. (A small portion of Country Hunter.) He's becoming bolder - I'm in the kitchen now and quite often I'll turn around to see this little dark face peering at me from the
doorway.

The food obsession is strong in this one. Grin

Any mice around have had it - they just don't know it yet.

Ollivander84 · 22/07/2017 23:12

He will be tapping you on the face for breakfast before you know it Smile

cozietoesie · 22/07/2017 23:18

Not before 8.30 he won't.

At least not twice. Grin

Ollie has taken to waking me up by jumping off the floor, onto my chest and back to the floor. It's rather... bracing

Lanaorana2 · 23/07/2017 10:45

A second supper!!?? Soon it will be thirds, treat, titbit, sweet, snack, biscuit, little taste. And your supper. Oh hang on, he's had that already. Grin

Little face round the doorway - o the sweetness Grin

Mr C has had FOUR shebas in 12 hours and is occupying the amazon box with aplomb. He's only conscious because he's waiting for a chewstick, which he isn't allowed. We both know what will happen.

cozietoesie · 23/07/2017 14:44

He was actually given thirds. Blush

I'm a great believer in bribery when it comes to pets Grin

Lanaorana2 · 23/07/2017 17:35

The little cat's intellectual powers are remarkable. It's funny they've got such small heads, considering. Grin

cozietoesie · 23/07/2017 17:52

Kerrash!! (5 minutes ago.) The rubbish bin was on its side. And he'd only just had tea!

I found him and told him off roundly. Lots of direct eye contact because he knew exactly what he'd done wrong. I've decided that we need to ratchet up the guilt factor. (Siamese are very big on guilt. Grin )

Ollivander84 · 23/07/2017 17:54

Did he look vaguely sorry?

Ollivander84 · 23/07/2017 17:54

He's either going to apologise or lay a trap for you. I'm not sure which yet WinkGrin

cozietoesie · 23/07/2017 17:57

He kept trying to avoid my gaze - that's mainly how I knew he realised he'd sinned.

He's now run for his safe place. He likely won't mind being told off - at least not in the medium to longer term.

They suddenly become incredibly good at avoiding eye contact Grin
Ollie does this side eye at me and legs it

cozietoesie · 23/07/2017 17:59

He may be a chocolate point officially, but both his parents were seals - he has the sealpoint brains.

NoSquirrels · 23/07/2017 19:07

This all sounds excellent- if you're on telling if terms then things are looking up it seems...

Lanaorana2 · 24/07/2017 13:14

How was last night?

Mr C smashed up the clock when I refused to get up at 540 to give a Sheba. He is asleep now. On the upside, I had a slightly testing family phone call and he let me hold his tail while I went to sleep.

cozietoesie · 24/07/2017 13:19

Last night was surprisingly quiet. Maybe he's starting to click to 'lights out means sleep'. (Maybe not - but I can but hope.) This morning he sat in his sitting room and watched me for a good 4 or 5 minutes after breakfast. That was interesting, mainly because it's new behaviour. Smile

Kibobear · 24/07/2017 13:29

Woo hoo for sustained contact!

Lanaorana2 · 24/07/2017 13:36

ayayayyaya!!!! he is giving you Look of Love :)

cozietoesie · 24/07/2017 15:35

I'm not sure it was the Look of Love. More of a quizzical gaze. That's OK. This is a very bright cat - he's not going to change his colours overnight. Smile

OP posts:
TheLongRider · 24/07/2017 17:39

Is he talking to you at all? One of mine (moggie) is very vocal and requires a conversation at all times.

Lanaorana2 · 24/07/2017 18:20

Absolutely - but bright enough to start thinking he has landed on his tiny paws, I suspect.

cozietoesie · 24/07/2017 18:58

No talking as yet. There have been what I think were three squawks, at various times, but I'm not sure it was him.
