I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

After a busy week where we haven't seen much of each other, Percy (S/h) and Merlin (l/h) are having a nice cuddle with me on the bed. They are very grumpy that they're not allowed outside but they are being let out for the first time next weekend so this is our last weekend of sweltering in the house with no open windows or doors!

Oops - sorry for double post!

HemanOrSheRa · 27/05/2017 10:37

Perry looks just like my boy Scribble. Except for a white splodge of his nose -
he has the same narrow face. They are gorgeous boys Smile.

I glad Mr P is keeping cool Weeds. I love hearing about how much he loves his Ma! Did you ever find any photos of him on holiday in his backpack?

Frankie has been in for food then straight back out for adventures. Pip is on the front wall, again.

Oh herman what a gorgeous splodgey nose! I have to say as mad as they are about being indoors, I'm going to be a bit sad when they get to the exploring stage, I'm going to miss them being in all the time!

Scribblegirl · 27/05/2017 10:42

heman sorry!

HemanOrSheRa · 27/05/2017 10:58

My phone corrected PERCY to Perry because it hates me Angry. So I apologise too!

You might find they don't go far Scribble. Frankie is 2 and this is his first summer of having outside adventures. We didn't get him neutered until he was about 10 months old due to horrible family stuff going on. Last summer he was too scared to go out on his own, although he'd stick his nose out the door looking like he really wanted to. DP used to sit outside with him for hours so he could have a wander with Dad close by Smile.

The upstairs cat came down this morning to have look out the front door. She spotted a slug on the doorstep, flew straight back in and up the stairs. She's afraid of herself, that one.

Sleeping on the cat tree - very unusual - she must have heard me think about giving it away since it's so rarely used. She's getting less dominant outside as well, spending most of her time hiding under something. I too am thinking about a sort of cat kennel partly because she spends most of her time under a fence panel that's for the skip.

My new rescues are continuing to take over. Molly likes me to take her round the house to look at stuff (like a baby!). Bridget likes to sniff my head. Here they are exploring.

A great example of 'If I Fit, I Sit.' Weeds Smile

LemonRedwood · 27/05/2017 15:12

We have one of those Welsh dragon "croeso" doormats outside the front door. His Highness spent the entire morning positioned carefully over the picture of the dragon - he was perfectly aligned! Moved the second I got out my phone to take a photo but he's obviously decided that there is only room for one intimidating creature at this residence.

We won't mention that the shaved part of his tail still makes it look like a feather duster and intimidating is probably the last word to spring to anybody's mind Grin. Healing nicely now though Smile

That kitten seems to grow about 6 inches a day catofathenry !!

TheCatOfAthenry · 27/05/2017 17:50

Weeds, he really is! Came our way needing kitten formula and now prefers the crunchiest crunch food! Grin

LondonHerbivore32 · 27/05/2017 19:19

The HerbieCats have spend most of the day avoiding the heat by napping. They're identical twins from the same litter.

Okay. I'll ask you the same question as Toddler. How do you tell them apart in the half light? (Or out of the corner of your eye.) Grin

Layla (bottom) and Purrlock on the cat organiser.

Ignore the dodgy paintwork, we're having the fireplace redone!

Aw. Look at all of your kitties curled up together being nice and cuddly. My two tolerate each other at best.

TheLongRider · 27/05/2017 21:07

LongGirlcat is on house arrest for trying to catch the neighbour's blue tits. They have a nest box on the side of their shed. Madam sits on the the shed roof and can extend a long black paw into the nest entrance. She's been unsuccessful so far but the blue tit parents are going nuts. She escaped one night and I was woken by the sound of magpies cackling at her as she made anothers murderous attempt. I lured her in with Greek yogurt, her favourite food.

As a result and for the sake of neighbourly relations she's shut in. The boy cats have no interest and are allowed out. She spends her day chittering at the magpies and she is very bored. She'll be fatter because if all the scraps she's scrounging. It'll be WideGirlcat soon.

Bogburglar75 · 27/05/2017 21:19

Oh dear Longrider. BogCat has developed a sudden ability to catch birds - two in three days Angry. Might have to impose house arrest or a bell on collar.

This is him informing us that he had got accidentally shut in the attic. Luckily there is quite a big gap under the door ...
