I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

Oh maiden I'm so sorry you've been through all that. What a nightmare. I hope Kenneth has a restful night and is bothering you with his old self asap. Flowers

Stories like these make me want to keep the DKittens in for ever and ever but I know I can't, they're rangers. Doesn't stop me worrying Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/06/2017 21:33

Maiden Oh god how awful for him, your vet sounds amazing.

I wonder if he'll decide the gardens far enough when he's recovered?.

TheCatOfAthenry · 20/06/2017 21:39

@MaidenMotherCrone sending happy thoughts of feline strength your way. That poor, beautiful cat!

Orlandointhewilderness · 20/06/2017 21:46

This is what OrlandoCat has mainly been doing for the last 4 days.....

EachandEveryone · 20/06/2017 21:48

What a brave boy. Such a handsome dude. You must be tempted to keep him in.

IrritatedUser1960 · 20/06/2017 21:51

I have given Bluebell (aged 15) a good hoovering with the Henry hoover which she loves as it means she doesn't have to do any work herself.
The other cat thinks the hoover is satan.
Bluebell also fell down the toilet trying to drink water out of it and got stuck so we now have to keep all the toilet seats down. Good thing I was there at the time!!

Orlando? aren't all torties female or is he a rare male one!

cozietoesie · 20/06/2017 21:53

A nutcase, it sounds like. Grin

cozietoesie · 20/06/2017 21:54

(Bluebell that is. Wink)

Orlandointhewilderness · 20/06/2017 21:55

No she's female! She is just sharing my username for reasons of anonymity. Can have the fans finding her, we had SUCH trouble in Paris don't cha know!

Scribblegirl · 20/06/2017 21:57

Horray! Boys don't seem to be too upset. Percy was licking my toes before this was taken. Think we're going to have a cuddle tonight.

They're wonderful. Smile

TheCatOfAthenry · 20/06/2017 22:15

One in 3000 torties are male - learning all sorts from my local SPCA!

MaidenMotherCrone · 20/06/2017 22:20

Thank you Cosie, Each, Thecat, Fluffy and Scribble DS2 was in work when Kenneth came back and just drove straight home. He was sobbing at the sight of him and Kenneth started purring when he saw DS. It was heartbreaking.

Kenneth is sleeping with DS2 as usual holding on to his arm like in the pic. DS2 is nursing him back to health. They are so close it's a lovely thing to witness.

Freyja ( little rescue baby) is her normal goofy self but Helga ( Kenneth's sister from a later litter) is cross with everyone and hissing at poor Kenneth. She has positioned herself at the bottom of my bed whereas she usually snuggles into my chest. Very cross girl.

If anyone in RL dares tell me they are just cats I will not be held responsible for my actions. Love is love and I love my cats.

IrritatedUser1960 · 20/06/2017 22:21

She is a nutcase cozietoesie, from very happy to bite in 2 seconds!

Ah so she is female Orlando, she looks very hot Smile

IrritatedUser1960 · 20/06/2017 22:22

They are never JUST cats, never.

TwoTeaTessie · 20/06/2017 22:29

My kitty cat is acting as facial hair for my husband Grin

cozietoesie · 20/06/2017 22:31

I have an older house with thick stone walls so it stays a little cooler in hot weather than some of yours seem to. I could always tell when it was high summer because Seniorboy would come out from his electric blanket and lie on top of the bed. (Only a few days per year. Wink)

YesItsMeIDontCare · 20/06/2017 23:15

Shock Poor, poor Kenneth! Thank god he's home, safe and adored.

Sending gentle head butts his way.

EachandEveryone · 20/06/2017 23:36

Poor Daph can't even have a wee in peace

caoraich · 20/06/2017 23:47

Oh my goodness maiden poor poor kenneth Sad I'm glad he made it home though. And your poor DS too. Cuddles to all of you

Hurrah for more cats named freyja/freya though - fun fact of the evening: the norse goddess Freyja rode a chariot pulled by cats!

My friend who only has the best of everything for her four siamese highly recommended it to me i think it was about £80! I love it as i have to have it at the back of my kitchen it kind of looks nice shallow Daphne would prefer the poundland one in my bedroom for the kitten but im going to have ti knock that on the head which is why she finally started using it tonight i shut them in the kitchen as i knew she was due to go. The kitten loves it! Its really easy to clean. modkat.com/products/flip-litter-box-2 zooplus sell them.

Hurrah indeed caoraich for Freyja/Freya cats. Our Freyja is a funny little thing, very different from our Orientals. She had had a horrible time before DP rescued her and brought her home one night. She's not a lap cat at all but does get in bed with me in the mornings and gives fabulous kisses through the banisters.
