I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

See what I mean. Daphne is lying there pretending to be asleep and the kitten is getting into all kinds of funny positions.

Hey look what happened two minutes after I wrote this!

cozietoesie · 19/06/2017 17:40

They're 'hot and bothered'. Grin Cats are really stupid about heat.

Oldraver · 19/06/2017 17:46

Ernie didnt sleep in his basket under the bed last night...he just flaked on the floor....he couldn't even be arsed to run downstairs when his Dad came home. He's tried to go out through the window but something spooked him and he did a quick turnaround. We nearly had a blind incident. I know he's trying to stalk the birds...but he makes so much noise

cozietoesie · 19/06/2017 18:25

He likely can't be bothered, anyway. High summer is not a good time for predating - too much like hard work! Smile

Oldraver · 19/06/2017 18:43

He is doing a very good impression of 'can't be bothered'. The long haired cats must be really feeling the heat

TheCatOfAthenry · 19/06/2017 18:44

Biscuit got his first jabs today. He's a little angel. The vet even nose booped his nose with her nose!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 19/06/2017 18:47

Leroy is too hot and wants the heating off now please.

He'd feel better if he had a bloody drink Hmm.

We used to stroke The Lodger's back and flanks with wet hands in very hot weather. (He had thick fur.) He seemed to like it. Smile

Ski37 · 19/06/2017 19:59

Glad to hear that most cats get lazy in the heat! Mine (a black cat) goes outside and lies in the sun, gets too hot then comes back in again, meows and looks at me like it's my fault then lies in the shade.... He then goes outside and lies in the sun again and gets too hot.....you see where this is going.... the cycle is repeated throughout the day! He's definitely not as active now it's hot and he isn't eating as much but he's still drinking plenty and still love his toys. Can I assume he isn't actually doing himself any harm and he's just to stupid to stay out of the sun?

cozietoesie · 19/06/2017 20:47

They're plain daft about sunlight. I have no idea why........

TheCatOfAthenry · 19/06/2017 20:59

Having my lap warmed by a kitten.

They would pick this weather to be extra affectionate. Hmm

Stupid cat is currently sitting in the middle of the garden ready to pounce on what? .... flies? .....birds? .......they've all gone to bed! Now just come in and stop pretending you're a panther !

Ollivander84 · 19/06/2017 22:45

Freya and Maisie are on holiday with my parents while we get renovations done. I am very lonely as DP is on nights and my DF has not helped by sending me this picture of the floofs all cosy after a lovely time investigating their new accommodation!

I'm afraid that Maisie at least doesn't look as if she'd missing you much. Grin

cozietoesie · 19/06/2017 23:30

That's youngsters for you. Wink

cozietoesie · 19/06/2017 23:30

she's

caoraich · 19/06/2017 23:35

I know!! Flaky loyalties, eh.

I hope she wakes my DPs up with her ritualised midnight toe nibbling -
while Freya looks on judgmentally in a "well, you did let the monster under the duvet" way

Grin

Another night of Ernie stretched out on the bedroom floor...he didn't even flinch when I put the very noisy fan on. Our bedrooms are very hot at night (in the loft space with extra insulation, so it's like the whole bedroom is wrappped in a duvet). I thought he may flop on the tiles downstairs but I think he likes being near us at night..

He's walking round the house perfecting his flop, but has now disappeared under his favourite bush

Zara is helping me do press ups by sitting on my back.

EachandEveryone · 20/06/2017 10:56

Wow you have amazing parents. I woke up
this morning to find all my plants on the floor. I never heard a thing either. No one is doing much today just flopping about. They are both going to the cattery on Thursday the little one will be 15 weeks. Bad Mama. Just can't risk her escaping.

EachandEveryone · 20/06/2017 11:10

The cattery is 160!

YesItsMeIDontCare · 20/06/2017 13:07

Leroy's latest ploy to stay out... "If I lie down in thistles Mummy won't pick me up."

It's working Hmm.
