I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

Lazy Ernie didn't get up till way past 8am, probably as he was out till gone midnight.

He's been itching to go out the front so is now in the poppy field trying to stalk birds

Ollivander84 · 14/06/2017 11:09

Ollie is taking selfies 😂😂😂😂
He needs to work on his "slimming" pose

Ollivander84 · 14/06/2017 16:34

He cracked me up Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/06/2017 19:36

Rolling around then falling asleep in a pile of dead leaves.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/06/2017 19:41

And here is the evidence.

cozietoesie · 14/06/2017 19:54

Happy cat, though. Smile

I've come in after a 12 hour shift to find my flat looking like a hurricane has gone through it. I can only assume Daphne has given Dolly a tour of the flat. Some serious kitten proofing needed on my day off tomorrow. I'm stood on my balcony having a glass of white while Daphne is been her usual nosy self

EachandEveryone · 14/06/2017 21:27

Shock she looks like a right raga muffin. She's sneezing away tonight can they catch colds off each other?

I thought Biscuit had sprayed me but he had just stuck his little nose in my tea and jumped backwards and splashed me. It was hilarious.

Cookie got her hands on some catnip (which seems to make her a little skittish so I don't let her have it anymore) and ran around with a bonkers level enough to rival any smaller kitten.

EachandEveryone · 15/06/2017 09:19

Well there's no point locking her in the bedroom anymore I'll just do it when I'm out do you think my big girls abit daft? She's always looking for her but can't see what's under her nose. And btw the little one playing with the puzzle Daph still hasn't worked out how to do it!

She's just brought me the bloodied corpse of a vole Sad
Much miaowing and looking so proud of her gift.

I had a similar episode with babycat and some brown sauce the day after I got him! I learned not to eat in the same room pretty sharpish.

Thank you for your thoughts - sounds like you all do think it's too long and I need to have either or both of them in bed with me. I have to say I love it when I am lying in and drifting, or off work in the daytime. But the kitten wakes almost hourly, crazycat every couple of hours, I am up to the toilet every 3-maybe 4 hours, and have to keep them off/away from my stoma even/especially when I'm sleeping - I just don't think I can do it and function. Maybe I bring one of them in after my 2nd visit to the loo or something.... so I've had some quality sleep?

First vet visit and jabs later for us too - a bus trip for this (sub)urban kitten! Hope Dolly was ok overnight. Love all the pictures , just a bit snowed under this week. Babycat has learned to do somersaults Hmm Grin um, very helpful!

caffeinestream · 15/06/2017 09:37

Purrlock got onto the bed (with me still in it) for the first time ever this morning.

He wouldn't even let me stroke him when we adopted him back in January - and he got onto the bed, head rubbed me, then settled down for a cuddle. It only lasted about 10 minutes but it's such a huge improvement on six months ago!

I feel all soppy now Blush

She'll be fine on the bus I did put a blanket over the box I don't know if it makes any difference really. How much are u paying for insurance for them both? They will ask u to join the £13 a month scheme if it's your first vaccinations it seems to be worth it I think. The insurance is £25.

Maudlinmaud · 15/06/2017 15:25

I need to share this with someone.
Last night at bedtime I thought I heard the cat scratching from inside the wardrobe. We got up to check. No cat. All went quiet.
Woke up this am, unusually dcat2 did not jump on the bed pre alarm going off. Put food out, dcat1 eats no sign of dcat2
I recall the scratching sound from last night and go and check the wardrobe and cupboards in the bedroom again. Silence.
I thought perhaps dcat2 went outside and didn't come in.
Ive just put some ironing away and realised that the bottom drawer was sticking out so I pull it out to remove some clothes that have fallen behind. Dcat2 was in there!
Alive and unscathed I think. Just a bit stiff. I think she has been asleep.
So yeah that's been happening.

EachandEveryone · 15/06/2017 15:51

Oh you must have had a fright! Do you think she was stuck?

Maudlinmaud · 15/06/2017 15:57

Well she must have been, as there was no way out. How she managed it I will never know and why she didn't make a sound has me baffled. When I searched this morning I was calling her and I can't understand why she didn't meow. It's like she was completely not bothered and just had a sleep Confused

cozietoesie · 15/06/2017 16:02

How is she, generally? Smile

Maudlinmaud · 15/06/2017 16:03

Grin a pita Cozie but I wouldn't change her.

EachandEveryone · 15/06/2017 16:12

I've decided that mine do buggar all in the day so I'm not worrying about working 12 hour shifts anymore. They have slept solidly since dragging me out of bed at 7am on my only day off

Maudlinmaud · 15/06/2017 16:21

Oh Each! Brew
I'm convinced I must be the talk of the place as my old boy comes home between 2am and 5am making a sound that could wake the dead.

Ollivander84 · 15/06/2017 16:25

Treated Ollie to a new silicone mat for his food bowls and a cardboard scratch box. He looks unimpressed

cozietoesie · 15/06/2017 16:56

He looks a tad more than 'unimpressed'. Grin

Ollivander84 · 15/06/2017 16:57

I think he's been watching stable cat Hmm
