I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

Dog was fast asleep in the living room. Which is a nice sized corridor away from the kitchen where she came in

cozietoesie · 05/06/2017 16:00

The sooner she realises - like my own boys always do - that Dogs are just big, amiable but stupid lumpsnot to be reckoned with, the more she'll be in then. Smile

Soubriquet · 05/06/2017 16:06

She has seem to cottoned on that she can jump whilst dog can't

You see Toots sitting on the bin lid looking down at a very pissed off dog Grin

cozietoesie · 05/06/2017 16:19

I've always had working collies, to be fair, and their idea of a good time is thinking of a new way to serve. Grin The cats have looked down on them.

Oldraver · 05/06/2017 16:31

Ernie has been eating my new water plants...within 30 seconds of them being put in..

Lanaorana2 · 05/06/2017 16:37

Eyes and nose both perfect. Also voice and appetite from 4:55 am on.

Ollie is still asleep. I had a lie in and woke up about 11am to him in his usual position outside my bedroom door
He went back to bed at 1pm Hmm in protest at the rain

Bogburglar75 · 05/06/2017 21:38

BogCat had a blow to his pride today. He's embarking on clearing the garden of the next generation of rats (useful). He lost one in the garden yesterday. When I went to the back door to let him out this morning, we saw the little black and white cat next door, with whom he has a love hate relationship.

Strolling across our patio, bold as brass, carrying HIS RAT.

BogCat was not happy.

caoraich · 05/06/2017 21:42

Mine seem to be in the huff with me and I can't seem to get them to come downstairs.
They're fed and their litter is nice and clean
This is most unusual
DP is away
Maybe it's actually him that they love
Sad Sad

Oh no, bogburgler , he'll need to sit down for a thorough, leisurely and, most of all, public, wash to show her that it was an interior rat, that he didn't want anyway!

cozietoesie · 05/06/2017 22:08

He'll make her his BFF. (In her eyes.) That will sort things. Wink

Ski37 · 05/06/2017 22:13

Oldraver my cat is obsessed with eating plants too! He's gone through all the ones in the house so they are now less than half the size they once were! He's now allowed in the garden and the same thing is happening again.... I planted lots of catnip to try and tempt him away from the other plants..... he ignores them most of the time in favour of anything else.... I spent a worried few days googling to check that there were no poisonous plants in the garden . Stupid cat 😍😍😍

cozietoesie · 05/06/2017 22:16

I had a beautiful large ficus tree, an artificial one with silk leaves. The fact that they were silk didn't seem to deter Seniorboy! Grin

Bogburglar75 · 05/06/2017 22:22

weeds and cozie it's a him! Just a small him, who is small in size but big in cheek and personality. He tried to move in before we had BogCat, and I had to put posters up to find he did actually have a home Smile. He and BogCat alternate between playing and scrapping when he visits. SmallCat usually wins despite being a third BogCats size.

BogCat is still young enough not to have mastered nonchalance. He went shooting out into the garden and SmallCat, BogCat and ex-rat all disappeared into the flowerbeds. Saw SmallCat as I went to work sitting by his own gate, sans rat, so I am not quite sure who won. Apart from not the poor old rat, obviously.

cozietoesie · 05/06/2017 22:25

Give it a couple of days. They'll be sitting swigging G&Ts together before you know it. Smile

Albadross · 05/06/2017 22:43

He's almost a year I think. Seemed totally back to normal last night. He has a few scratch marks on the underside of the leg and one deeper one on the joint (elbow?!). I was going to vet him but there was no blood or anything. I'll just keep checking it I guess. Bloody cats with their inability to speak English!

cozietoesie · 05/06/2017 22:52

He's only young then. Best to keep a close eye on him and watch for any signs of infection. Cats' mouths are vile (re infections) and if he was bitten by a fang, for example, it could easily take two or three days to show.

Ruhrpott · 06/06/2017 08:00

Checking out the fridge and having breakfast

Mines not keen on the new kitten. Its only been two days. The kitten is bold and doesnt seem put off. Shes eating beautifully but Daphne marches in and finishes her plate. Should i put the kitten in her carrier and keep letting Daph into the safe room? Shes swatting it which is distressing. No hissing just a groaning.

Oldraver · 06/06/2017 11:46

Ski Lats year I just caught Ernie about to eat a Day Lily..so I then had to put them all in tents..this year I gave in and dug them all up..one was over 20 years old..

Today Ernie has been in and out int he rain so he can get towelled off then came back to bed just after 8am exhausted... he's moved downstairs but is still asleep

MsHooliesCardigan · 06/06/2017 12:24

This is the nearest I've ever seen my 2 get to each other. They're usually sitting at least 6 feet apart with their backs to each other.

EachandEveryone · 06/06/2017 12:32

Did you have them
As kittens?

GimbleInTheWabe · 06/06/2017 12:45

Monkey agrees that this wind and rain calls for carbs and trakkies. The heating is on!
