I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

I have the pleasure of working from home with Dcat today.

It's raining heavily and he's in a deep sleep on the sofa. It seems he's having some sort of rain related nightmare and keeps shaking off his feet as if they're wet Grin

I've got a kitten. Really bizarre circumstances - asked if I'd think about it and said yes and the next day - here he is! I got in a right anxious panic yesterday about taking him on with crazycat. Am at work, a friend is popping in, I am keeping them separate and scent swapping. He howls when you leave him - only for a few minutes but still - it was completely agonising - crazycat was hiding too. I'll post more later but this is him - nameless kitten. Sorry, am all over the place (even tho I had wanted a kitten for aaages!)

Posing for the camera (a very rare thing for him!)

Oneago turned out to love the camera/his public - and he was so impossibly beautiful that they loved him back - but it was critical to give him due warning so that he could .......arrange himself/present his best look etc. Have you been doing that? Smile

caffeinestream · 06/06/2017 13:57

Of course!

Though as soon as heard the click of the camera, he curled up and went back to sleep Grin

Ollivander84 · 06/06/2017 14:41

Ollie is alternating between howling, glaring at me and looking despairingly out the window. I can't switch the rain off, I'm a bad mother Grin

Catsbutler · 06/06/2017 14:59

Having a yawn. He's very tired after waking the slaves at 4am.

GimbleInTheWabe · 06/06/2017 15:18

Eeek gorgeous little kitten@ElizaDontlittle! I would name him/her stormy after the grey cost and the weather today.

Scribblegirl · 06/06/2017 18:55

Oh eliza she's beautiful! Looks like an Effy to me Wink

Here are Merlin and Percy this morning, showing off that I had to go to work while they got a lie in...

Scribblegirl · 06/06/2017 18:56

Oh and what a fab photo Catsbutler! He looks like a naughty one (cute though!)

caffeinestream · 06/06/2017 19:32

So Ernie has had a huge sleep today but is making up for it rampaging around...and eating more of the water plant. He is perching on the water stone, which isn't fixed in properly yet and he is so going to get his feet wet.

When his Dad knew we paid £8 for the plant he is eating he was straight out to shoo him off

Yes Scribblegirl Mikey is naughty - I was taking a photo of him sleeping on his back but he yawned just at the right time. We took him in two years ago as a rescue who had been badly abused, and slowly his personality has started to shine through. He's also been a great comfort after we lost our lovely Tom,19, last week, and Ellie, 21, last August.

caoraich · 06/06/2017 23:59

Ooh eliza how gorgeous!
How are they getting on with each other Each?
We're still having a lot of fur flying but no claws out. Doesn't help that Maisie is now 4 months and just wants to pounce pounce pounce!
Here they are blatantly disobeying the "no cats on the worktop" rule Hmm

When does Maisie have her op? Smile

Ollivander84 · 07/06/2017 01:21

Ollie decided to come and have a cuddle or more accurately flop on my chest!

caoraich a very cheeky duo, indeed.

HemanOrSheRa · 07/06/2017 07:16

Hehe! Look at their faces cao. 'And? Watchoo gonna do?' Grin. My two never pose for the camera. I need to have strong words.

caoraich · 07/06/2017 08:57

We've definitely raised posers heman - went back upstairs today to find maisie had tucked herself in and was being all nonchalant...
She get her op in July as we're off on hols in a couple of weeks. They'll go to my parents for a cat holiday where they'll be spoiled rotten and referred to as the "grandkittens" 😂

My life is never going to be the same again! My bedroom is like the house that jack built. Who has cat food in their bedroom?!!!!

Beautiful, beautiful girl, cao. Smile What a pair of posey paws!

ElizaDontlittle · 07/06/2017 11:27

cao they are utterly gorgeous. And much to blame for the arrival of babycat! I'm going to call him Toby. Crazycat is Hetty. I'm scent swapping and will gently introduce them at the weekend. Then he needs to go to the vet I guess - and plan in his neutering and jabs - how early can they all be done?
Such gorgeous cats here - how are Daphne and Dolly Each?

cozietoesie · 07/06/2017 11:42

Eliza

Current guidance is for neutering at 4 months, health, weight etc being OK. Be warned, though. Many people, including a few veterinary practitioners, still have '6 months' set in their brains. ( The old timing.)
