I have taken the liberty of making a new thread! Maisie and Freya are relaxing in a patch of sun

Sweetness!

I am at home resting with Mr C who is enjoying his new arthritis meds no end. Am not surprised, as they are more pricy than crack cocaine.

Oh dear, Borough Market is 12 min away from my house. The Nandos is superb. On the upside, some gentlemen from our v hardcore local mosque have now set up a stand in the street and are giving people leaflets about the true nature of Islam. Well done those OAPs, I say.

Urghhh the cat groomer can't come soon enough, Smoky has such long fur it needs professional attention, she comes every other month but he now has poo up his back legs and they have formed dreadlocks. Time for the hair clippers again :-(
She's coming on Wednesday.

DumbledoresApprentice · 04/06/2017 10:12

She was brushed this morning. The huge ball of fur is the fifth one that size that I've brushed out of her since Friday. There will be another huge pile brushed out this evening. She's actually looking visibly smaller. Grin

OMG DA you have another cat in fur Grin It never fails to amaze me how much comes out. I have been busy with the scissors in the interim. He is a sod with grooming, it takes two people.

DumbledoresApprentice · 04/06/2017 10:46

Mine occasionally gets poo on her fluffy bloomers too. I use a combination of pure water wet wipes, scissors and a metal comb. I use the wet wipes to get off what I can and soften the lumps, the comb to get rid of as much poo as I can and tease out as much fur as I can save and then I use the comb to hold any knots of matts away from her skin so that I can cut it off. I'm fortunate that she is super docile though. It still, on occasion, takes two of us though as it takes more Ethan one pair of hands to coordinate it all. She sat in chilli jam once and made a horrible sticky matt that took forever to get out.

Toots nearly came inside today!! First time for a month.

But Lexa (the puppy) spotted her and chased her out. I shouted but I didn't get there in time. Don't think she will try that again soon.

Bright side though. She will happily sit just out of reach or nearby the pup and watch her. Until she turns to walk away and Lexa decides to chase Hmm

cozietoesie · 04/06/2017 14:44

Remind me, Weeds. Is he missing some teeth?

Ruhrpott · 04/06/2017 14:52

@ Prokupatuscrakedatus Poppy is female and 10 months old. We only got her from the rescue about three weeks ago. My name comes from where I used to live in Germany 🇩🇪

Bonnie the kitten is now asleep on the windowsill and Poppy in the old cat bed. My old cat is outside getting some peace as the others aren't allowed out yet

Mine is warming & drying himself on the sky box after coming home with a rather damp undercarriage. He's pretty and clever!

Mine came as a bonded pair from the rescue. The kitten is about 4months old now and the ginger female about 10 months.

Look what the rescue lady sent me this morning. Her latest batch of kittens found sealed in a box inside a plastic bag dumped in someone's garden

Zinc he is adorable.

Weeds fangtastic pic. Cats can yawn better than everyone, can't they.

Weedsnseeds1 · 04/06/2017 15:02

He has all his teeth cozie but in that photo the bottom two fangs are lined up, so it looks as if he only has one!

Weedsnseeds1 · 04/06/2017 15:06

All these cute kitten pictures, I'd be tempted to get one, if I didn't think it would probably get eaten!

cozietoesie · 04/06/2017 15:10

Ah. Smile

Today we thought maisie must have escaped. Frantic searching and couldn't find her anywhere. Eventually, we discovered her snoozing under the duvet right in the middle of the bed!

Ruhrpott · 04/06/2017 16:40

It's my biggest fear at the moment that mine escape. I've got an appointment on Friday to get my two new ones chipped and start vaccinations. I'll feel better when I know if they escape we will probably get them back.

Lanaorana2 · 04/06/2017 16:49

C might I suggest there is some terrible hinting going on?

I thought about a kitten for Mr C but I reckon they'd gang up on me.I'm under orders 24/7 as it is. Am in favour as the reductions in M&S were blinding - tonight it's lamb burgers for two. Determined not to be stuck with just the baked potato again.

Want2beme · 04/06/2017 17:00

Ruhrpott, poor kitties. How sad.

Albadross · 04/06/2017 17:22

Leo came home after a fight with a hole in his back leg, not much blood but he's limping and after I had a feel to check it he started shaking Sad

He seems ok after a bit of rest and lots of treats, is there anything other than infection I need to watch for?

Ruhrpott · 04/06/2017 17:54

Check for infection. They usually get infected. I used to take our old tomcat to the vets for a long lasting antibiotic injection just to be on the safe side.

cozietoesie · 04/06/2017 18:10

I'd vet him to be safe, Albadross.

How old is he?
