Vinocat is snoozing amongst Barbie and friends. Doesn't look very comfy so think I should move them.

Dave is also snoozing. He's getting old now, bless him.

Ernie obviously didn't come in (his choice) when his Dad went to bed around 7am. He quite often stays out in the garden now...but I didnt get up til past 10am and he was in no hurry to greet me...he made me wait.

He's now sniffing at the front window, he knows its slightly open but can't figure how to get it to magically open to fit his fat body through. It took him a year to figure the back door...

@Vinorosso74 do not under any circumstances remove his new friend-pillows. Cats seek new kinds of comfort at all times!

Merlin and Percy took their first tentative steps into the outside world today!! Actually feel a bit sad about it - they're growing up too fast!!

Scribble how old are they ? I love the name Merlin, it was on the shortlist for Ernie but I was vetoed

Merlin was what my first Siamese was called. He was going to be Gandalf, but when I got him, he wasn't a Gandalf but he was a Merlin

Meant to explain: the first Siamese of my own.

Parents'/family Siamese before then had been called (Kat)Mandu, Oedipus, Pogle, Zebedee and Womble.

We always call our Siamese boys by the same name.

Haha thecat I finished my post and looked up to see she had relocated herself. I think she decided it was too uncomfortable.

They were born on New Year's Eve raver so just over 6 months old.

Merlin came about because DP was initially quite sniffy about the idea of paired names for them. I told him to pick first on the basis I'd sneak a theme in based on what he picked he went for Percy so I decided an Arthurian theme was in order. Merlin should consider himself lucky, I was browsing for ideas on the Wikipedia page and discovered another Arthurian character called Ywain the Bastard Sadly DP talked me down from that one...

Ernie may or may not, be occasionally called Fuckwit

That's fair enough, I think most cats have a Fuckwit alias

DP's well reasoned argument was 'well, I'm not standing at the back door shouting 'Ywain the Bastard, dinner time!' every night...

Biscuit is having a nice munch on Cookie's ear. She is a tolerant angel!

Scribblegirl a dear friend of mine inherited a cat by the name of Satan . I used to study Arthurian literature and plenty of good cat names in there provided you stick to males!

BogCat is delighted to see us home and to be released from the tender mercies of the (lovely) cat sitter. We brought him a present back - three feathers from Kew Gardens.

I trust he was interested in you as well?

He was ... very chatty and purry. Which I flatter myself was not entirely due to the fact that we'd brought home the usual post-holiday chippy tea

I could have made that foto - same coloured cat, same position, same type of chair, same coloured floor (so I can't see him when I'm not wearing my glasses).

Right now he's trying to intimidate a fly by staring at it. The fly is very patient - crawling about, cleaning its little wings
