You can be forgiven, though.

Remember - real gradual reduction in weight. Smile

cozietoesie I'm hoping he won't notice! I've had him 2 months and he's never been particularly food orientated so we might be ok- I'll do it very slowly!
He's also just started going outside and was apparently an indoor cat before I adopted him so maybe the extra activity will help. I didn't realise he was overweight- he doesn't look it to me but I would hate for him to have any health problems because of it so I'll listen to the vet and do as they advise.

TheCatOfAthenry · 30/05/2017 21:49

@Ski37 His shape is simply lovely! But best of luck with the diet all the same.

@EachandEveryone I love an educated feline.

Cookie and Biscuit are being all gangsta...

Loud growls from Niles as he protects his pipe cleaner from Frasier GrinConfused

dementedpixie · 31/05/2017 07:45

Had to banish one of mine downstairs at 4am as he was attacking ds's feet. I shut him out the room first but he scrabbled at the door to get back in. He had already woken me up scrabbling at the ensuite door so I was getting pissed off by then. Put him downstairs (with storm who was relaxing in the couch) and shut the doors so he couldn't come back up and then tried to get back to sleep hoping he wasn't pulling up the floor trying to get back through the doors

YetAnotherSpartacus · 31/05/2017 11:17

DS was a bit mean for not getting up and playing with him! :)

Want2beme · 31/05/2017 15:04

prettybird love his pipe cleaner. What goes on in their heads??

iloveeverykindofcat · 31/05/2017 16:00

Athenry silent screams intensify

Ski I've had cats 10 years now and one of mine is fat. I find it really, really difficult to get weight off her. She's an ex-stray who had kittens at an early age so that might have something to do with it. She gets significantly less food than the packets recommend (about 2/3) and has outdoor access. I play with toys with her. She eats only meat, no grain. And yet, she is fat, whilst my other cat who eats more than her is slim.

Ollivander84 · 31/05/2017 16:42

Not a clue. Haven't seen Ollie since lunchtime, I suspect he is lounging on neighbours trampoline snoring away as opposed to hunting Grin

EachandEveryone · 31/05/2017 20:35

OMG the sisyer has come up now www.northlondon.cats.org.uk/northlondon/adopt-a-cat/?cid=185663

My friend who is a catlady came to my flat after my biopsy today she said Daph would totally love the company and my flat is bigger than some houses. Ive got two weeks off at then end of June and ifi still have the urge for another im just going to buy one or wait for a ftiend of a friend. I dont get why the rescues are so fussy when they say they are over run.

EachandEveryone · 31/05/2017 20:36

Im loving Frasier and Niles btw clearly we are all Frasier fans!

Ollivander84 · 31/05/2017 20:37

HemanOrSheRa · 31/05/2017 21:03

Aw. You have a little visitor Olli Grin.

She is a cutie Each.

cozietoesie · 31/05/2017 21:05

Ollie is blinking at it? I reckon she'll be moved in by the end of the week! Grin

Ollivander84 · 31/05/2017 21:21

Just sat in the hallway blinking at me and the cat. I was sat in the floor in the bedroom and Ollie wasn't in the slightest bit concerned ConfusedConfused despite me fussing said cat

HemanOrSheRa · 31/05/2017 21:56

The cat is his friend that Ollie has chosen. Maybe even a girlfriend. Wooooh! If you brought a cat home Ollie would hate it.

Ollivander84 · 31/05/2017 21:58

Or it's pregnant and earmarked my house as "comfy cat spa to give birth" Hmm

HemanOrSheRa · 31/05/2017 22:03

Is it a girl? Do you think she is pregnant? How exciting! For us, I mean Grin. Not you obviously.

Ollivander84 · 31/05/2017 22:04

Absolutely no idea! Was very nervy and not keen on me getting close but plonked itself on the windowsill for a bit and had a small snack of ollies food Blush

HemanOrSheRa · 31/05/2017 22:09

Uh oh. It's a slippery slope to becoming a Real Life mad cat lady Grin.

TheLongRider · 31/05/2017 22:13

Ollivander That's how we ended up with one of ours. One of our cats made friends with a local kitten from four doors down and brought him back home, showed him how to use the catflap and that was that!

We spent the next few weeks bringing the kitten back to his house but he gallop back to ours before we'd reach our door. Eventually his humans went away for a weekend and even though there was a pet sitter he moved in and refused to go back. We went round and explained the situation and we got to keep him. He was bullying their other cat and he was kept in line in our house by his best mate.

So you might be a two cat household now.
