Snorgmaiden has been admitted to the emergency vets with a high temperature, conjunctivitis, and enlarged stomach and enlarged lymph nodes. Thought something was t right last night but not overly worried. Slightly worried this morning but thought I was being neurotic. Took one look at her when I got home from work and straight to the emergency vets. Hopefully an infection but worst case may be lymphoma. She's having loads of tests Tonight and they will ring me later. Need my hand holding you lovely lot. Sad

Poor Snorgs, would she take lick e lix?

Weedsnseeds1 · 18/02/2017 08:23

Awwwww, they have even bandaged her tail. Hopefully she'll eat and drink at home. She'll feel happier in familiar surroundings anyway.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2017 09:40

She has a selection of food in her kennel including lik e lix because she adores them. Tried to get her to lick it off my finger last night but she refused. Vet said she's eating a bit now and using the litter tray. She's also hiding when her temperature is taken and beginning to object to having her bloods taken. She's a very placid creature so she must be beginning to feel better. Home on day leave tomorrow. Would have been today but I'm working all day.

She's a stubborn one Grin

Thinking of you both and her sister, it's awful when they are poorly...she sounds like quite a character bless her....fingers and Toes crossed for a good outcome and in MN (((hugs))) for you all x

RubbishMantra · 18/02/2017 14:21

Oh, look at her all bandaged. Poor little love. I bet you're looking forward to having her back at home for the day tomorrow.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2017 15:02

Yes. I can't wait to have her home. Will be interesting to see how her sister reacts. She'll either be all over her and very protective or she'll ignore her. I think she's noticed her absence as she's very clingy and demanding. I suspect she'll actually be a good nurse cat.

MCat gets a bit hissy when Little M returns from the vet. Either it's the strange smells, or he thinks he's missed out on a jolly jaunt with balloons and ice-cream or something.

I hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow. I'm sure the time spent with you and her sis will do her the world of good. Smile

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2017 17:55

Fingers crossed. I'm looking forward to it but am very very anxious about having her home properly in case she becomes ill again and I don't spot it. But I'm sure I'll calm down eventually. Hoping she might have turned into a lap cat. Last nights cuddle was the most relaxed cuddle she's ever had. She doesn't like it usually.

Is she going to be a bit dopey when she gets back? (Thinking about her sister here.)

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2017 18:07

She's always dopey!

Aw Sad. Bless her poorly, grumpy, squishy face Sad. I hope she feels much better when she gets home. You are doing ever so well Toddler. Honestly, you'll spot if something is wrong. You will.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2017 19:30

Keep telling myself that she was just a bit quiet and I knew she was poorly with minimal symptoms.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 18/02/2017 19:46

Exactly Toddler. Like Heman says, you'll pick up on if she needs to go back to hospital, you knew to take her in when she became unwell.

Are you able to relax with a Wine or Brew ?

isadorable · 18/02/2017 19:56

I have no doubt you'll be on it if there's a problem. And it will do you both good to have some time.

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2017 20:13

I've just had 'The Paw'Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/02/2017 20:42

A day with mom will do her good.

Weedsnseeds1 · 18/02/2017 21:43

"The Paw" means "Take me away from this terrible place and I promise I'll be good"....

Toddlerteaplease · 18/02/2017 21:47

Yes Weeds, that is definitely what she was telling me. Hoping they give her a clean up before she comes home. She's covered in cat litter! And really needs a bath from lying in wee. The emergency vets bathed her tummy but she weed again.

Weedsnseeds1 · 19/02/2017 07:18

Line up some pet wipes or some of the water only baby wipes. She probably won't want a bath on top of her ordeal.

iloveeverykindofcat · 19/02/2017 07:31

Here's hoping she eats for you

Toddlerteaplease · 19/02/2017 07:36

Yes I used to use the water wipes on her eyes. Until she would see me opening the pack and run! Think I'll just brush it out at first. She likes being brushed.

OP posts:
Weedsnseeds1 · 19/02/2017 07:42

Her sister might give her a wash, if you're lucky!

Toddlerteaplease · 19/02/2017 07:57

Yes. Good point! I am fascinated to see how she will react to her. Although they don't like each other they are still very protective. She's very good when I am poorly and has barely left my side since Magic has been in hospital. Typical siblings.
